to be honest, halo never had a bad spawning system. i've only ever been spawn killed twice, and in reality they were big games on small(er) maps. it tends to be a liability.

i cant see how the weapons were clunky. there were far more glitches in halo 2 than 3, and the ranking system was generalised, just as it started in halo 3. individual ranking works because it allows you to earn a rank in each playlist, thus matching you to the right people , as each playlist is different.

halo 1 and 2 had good a spawn system. Halo 3 has a terrible one. MLG is the only decent game mode where it's kinda neatly balanced. team slayer is mainley luck on who dominates the BR's and spawn traps :) and power weapons.

and as for the BR? halo 2 became a match of skill ON the br. if you had skills with the br, you were sorted for the entire game because its the most readily available weapon, because they removed the assault rifle.

and all games are down to luck , unless one is greatly skilled more than others.

i have never had a problem with "spawn traps" or whatever. the amount of possible spawns makes it very hard to predict where a single person will spawn.

ok just to sum everything up in halo 2 once you put the aimers on the persons head/body and pulled the trigger the bullets would make it there instantly but depending on distance the bullets would loose accuracy, in halo 3 they accually made it so it takes a cirtain amount of in game frames for the bullets to reach the target. 3 shots to anywhere on the body with all bullets hitting and one shot to the head is a kill.
