my complaint about the movie is he tells the girl she has to get thrown in a slam/jail where she would never see the sun again and find a doc. to shine her eyes for a ''pack of 20 menthol kools'' what people are still smoking way in the future and  smoking cigarettes made on earth in the USA this is even harder to believe in the 2nd movie and they bring it up again

The theme of this movie: the one they all think is a killer, who they hate, saves all of their asses because he can see in the dark and they can't. Ironic. It is a hidden message about trust and judging others.

Chronologically, the games come before Pitch Black, because Johns is alive and Riddick doesn't have his eyeshine at the beginning of Butcher Bay. Dark Athena happens almost directly after Butcher Bay.

nah butcher bay and dark athena play before pitch black. Because Johns is part of both games but dies in Pitch Black. You were right about the other movies though. Can't wait for the next ones!

No, its not. Escape from Butcher bay was first, because before that, he hadnt had the eye shine surgery on(thats why his eyes are bright blue and he sees in the dark),then Assault on Dark Athena,then Pitch Black,Dark Fury,Chronicles

Riddick DEFINITELY has attitude!!! I think you got that across. Running up on (ok, walking up on) Fry & messing with her mind, invading her personal space, trying to freak her out; freaking out Paris at every opportunity; knife fighting with Johns, oh, & don't forget pulling a knife on Fry; talk about overkill! Yet he thoughtfully warned Jack to duck, in the coolest, most laid-back way possible, saving Jack from getting his brains bashed out. And I think we all cry at 3:42.
