I just FINALLY heard her music. I A-D-O-R-E this woman. And I realized... Amy Winehouse is trying to do the same thing, isn't she?
Soulful music? Unsettling content! Ms. McKay is better in the fact that her lyrics make you stare at the world... HARD. And think about it. And then the lyrics call you a bad person if you don't do something about it.
And the lyrics would be absolutely right.

i love her so much. I love how she doesn't transform herself into a sex object (which she certainly could do) even though it would help her gain publicity. The world needs more respectable and soulful women like her.
