They should just call it a relaxer because all it does is relaxes the hair shaft to make the hair more managable/cut time. It will never be totally straight with out a straightener or some type of heat if you have hair as curly as hers...and most of the time clients dont have professtional straightener or even know how to properly straighten their own hair or just dont have that kind of time.

@MZawesomechic Not true. That's the Japanese technique. The Brazilian one wears off and you have to have it redone. The Japanese one stays straight until you cut it off...of course, your new growth come in curly, and you have to grow it out about 3 inches to touch it up, so you'll have a bit of a mess for a while. I've tried it, it's great the first time or two, then your hair is just destroyed. Nice for a change though!

i wanna try this, my problem is that theres fermeldihyde in it! i dont think that im allergic to it, but ive herd that around 3 days after it, the smell of the fermaldahyde goes away. not to men shion, that it doesnt really straighten your hair, but make it easier to manage. upside: not that expensive, you can swim and play in the water with it. and it makes your hair shiney and nice. so i would love it if anyone could tell me if i should try it. p.s. im 13 (if ur age mattters...) and black

i dont understand why this would cost 100 dollars. i use a maby around $8.00 relaxer and when im done its really smooth and straight that i just let it air dry with no flat iron required. and i have the same texture hair as the woman in the video.

Why didn't you wash the hair before the treatment? Why does the hair still appear curly after the application of the chemicals? Is it that it was not brushed(escova) when dried to increase straightness or is it the chemical content? I have very kinky hair and have had this treatment and got bone strait hair even before the flat iron was used. there are so many things that look different about how this process appears on this video.

a good brazillian relaxer is better because it does not have chemicals that cause permanet changes to the hair. It can be reversed with the use of high salt shampoos. Be aware that there is a brand calling itself a brazillian relaxer out there that does contain guanadine.Guanadine It is a relaxer in the family with traditinal relaxers. I found it out because I saw a brand from the US advertised on a Brazillian website and it had guandine in it. Not sure if that formulation is sold in the US.

Brazilian hair "straightening" doesn't straighten the hair completely, hardly any. It just readjusts the curls --- loosening them. It does however leaves the hair looking and feeling silkier and healthier.

Japanese hair straightening on the other hand literally straightens the hair completely. It also can create a healthier feel and appearance for the hair.

is the best result on color,chemcial treated hair. THe life spam of the keratin is 3-6 month. Depands on how often you wash your hair & using the keratin shampoo. I put color over ketain treated hair can cause the time spam of the keratin shorter. JHS is the permentnent but not the BKT. BKT i something wears out in time but it is healthy for the hair. Yes it a higher maintainence but for some people this is better. YOu have to be the right candidate

what people dont understand is that yes, curly hair is absolutly beautiful, but it is sooo hard to maintain and tiring too. it takes me about 2 hours to make my curly hair stay maintainable, but the truth is that is just wayyy to hard. I also heard that this process does not damage hair, it just straightens it without doing any of the damage that you get from using flat irons. However, you can see their using a flat iron here also but they do some kind of process before im kinda considering this

I don't know what you do with your hair but I have BLACK FRIZZY KINKY HAIR and it doesn't take me 2 hours. You just don't like your hairstructure and don't want to maintain it. The first couple times this straight thingie is going to look awsome but after a while your hair breaks and completely melts. I suggest that you invest in good hair tools like curlformers to maintain your curls easily. The girl in the vid already had beautiful hair but just didn't maintain it right.

After the brazilian treatment if finished,you will see some of the fly away hair on the top of the head. Those are the baby hair or the broken hair . THese little hair can be used some of the keratin serum applied a little to settle the hair better. Because it is already ironed with the 400degree iron so it is 100% ok to use some of the serum to calm the fly away hair.
