"I think anything that impinges on the ability of people to have access...that when you control the pipe you should probably be able to get profit on your investment"
So...John...they already do make a profit with their pipe, and net neutrality is all about equal accessibility...so you're for net neutrality?
I love the way he uses the usualy Conservatad tactic of just saying, "I disagree". Yeah John that's great but the facts are the facts.
The mere suggestion of corporatised control over the net shows two things - (a) Corporations seek to gain 'lawful' control over things which truly are 'essential services' and (b) they presently don't have it - otherwise they would not be lobbying the politicians.
Providing a profitable service via the net is totally different to controlling the net for profit. They and the GOP cry 'Market freedom' at the total expense of personal freedom and liberty. HYPOCRITES!
The only thing I do not agree with McCain about. WE HAVE to protect net neutrality. It is an Internet Constitutional Right (The Internet Constitution).
When the campaign slam ads were brought up in the last debates, and one example was calling McCain "out of touch"... this proves that's a bad example since it's not a slam, it's a verified FACT!
I cannot believe this moron just said he would take our cell technology over Korea's anytime. He obviously has no idea how great the gap is between their cell phone TOWERS and ours.
He better not let companys do that if he gets in. If obama wins he will stop it, if mccain wins he better stop it because it will ruin almost ever chance at education students have on the internet.
He said he was for net neutrality, but then explained the exact opposite! This is incredibly frustrating when a concept gets fuddled by miscommunication, purposeful or not, and people read statements from McCain that state "I support Net Neutrality" without realizing his interpretation of that is in favor of the companies restricting content.
It's definitely frustrating. We weren't exactly sure what McCain's position on net neutrality was from this interview either, so we tracked down some additional sources that you can find on our website, GlassboothDOTorg. Hopefully they give you a better idea of where he and the other candidates stand on this critical issue. Thanks for watching and commenting!
is full, complete, unequivocal. He is on our side. We want Net Neutrality and Obama is for it.
As much as I am concerned about life issues, the fact is abortions would not stop if McCain became President. Representative government must do just that and not bow to the corporations against we the people. The rich own McCain.
Therefore, I hereby renounce all earlier comments against Senator Obama and support wholeheartedly his election to the office of President of the United States of America.
The only reason I had not to support Obama was his stand on the abortion issue.
There have been scare tactics used by his opponents against him, but I take him at his word, now, because of the endorsement of people I respect. Aside from which, I would love former Secretary of State Gen. Colin Powell to endorse Obama.
Net Neutrality is SO important for freedom of speech and communication! McCain, by his own admission, has been on both sides of the question.
This guy is just an opportunistic fat fuck who just doesn't get it.

He doesn't understand! You only get to be briefed "a hundred times" if you didn't get it the first 99 times.
Senator McCain is too dangerous because of his ignorance.
