I dunno, for example if you wanted to become rich, you indeed got a lot of coins, but the ceiling fell on your head. The wish came true, but not in the way the wisher wanted.

I wouldn't say STALKER is particularly hard. If you've played some FPS games before you won't have any problem jumping into it at master difficulty. If you're also an obsessive quick saver such as myself you'll have no problem progressing the game, either. The game is still very atmospheric and open, a must play for a PC gamer. One thing I'd like to see more of is dialogue options since the RPG elements are sort of lacking.
Stalker... creepiest game ever and one of the hardest if you play it on hard. I seriously actually died about a foot from the wish granter several times. stupid radiation poisoning. Advice: save a shitload of radiation needles for the end.

i've just recently started this game and have gotten all the way to COP now ^_^ (which i've just beaten) and i've gotta say: the stalker series is 10X better than fallout3 in terms of gameplay and story! the graphics are pretty good, and the music is amazing, but fallout 3 sadly has it beat in graphics and open world... :(

@pwnize Close, electro anomolies took down the helicopters, Strelok is there to warn them, the map the military used to chart out anomolies before taking off turns out to be useless, Strelok tells them that they change location after an emission, so that's why you all leave when the emission is over, the choppers know where to go and how to avoid it.

Actually, no. The Wish Granter does not grant wishes, it subverts them. Strelok wishes the destruction of humanity, so instead, the Monolith leaves him in the dark and all alone. Nothing really happens, but Strelok gets his wish: to him, humanity is gone.
That's exactly it. In the "blind"-ending, the Zone disappears - but only to Strelok, as he can no longer see it. Same goes for this ending, he is forever separated from humanity, so to him, it is gone.

@TeamFortressHeavy I have oblivion lost with arsenal mod for stalker shadow of Chernobyl and the first time I got to the military complex (after the sewer) I had to save after every kill and go hide while my health came back. Once you get the hang of stalker it is an amazing game to play.
To rage quit a game forever is having no brain. How would a player learn, if he doesn't look two times behind his back, to check if whether an enemy is not sneaking behind him, like it can happen in S.T.A.L.K.E.R.? And it's the only game I've seen this.

But apart from that, stalker is a pretty good game indeed. But halo is more fun in my opinion. Stalker is the more realistic and annoying game, but halo is the more fun game. Try to be a bit neutral for once...

Strelok or Shooter is in CoP but u dont c him until the ending... i think he was the one who shot down the Hele's idk i cant speak russian... u play Degytarev or w/e its called he is a undercover stalker orginally he is in the Military... he gets promo to Colonel or w/e u spell it

@pwnize Close, electro anomolies took down the helicopters, Strelok is there to warn them, the map the military used to chart out anomolies before taking off turns out to be useless, Strelok tells them that they change location after an emission, so that's why you all leave when the emission is over, the choppers know where to go and how to avoid it.

@pwnize I am pretty sure members of C-Consciousness aren't dead. He isn't dead when he falls on the grass, he's in Call of Pripyat and survives that one too.

... All wishes you make end up you dying... When you play Pripyat... thats 1-2 mnths before Strelok loses his memory when u play Clear sky its 1 yr... It goes Clear Sky-Call of Pripyat-Shadow of Chernobyl... Chernobyl is based on afteraffects of 2006 and 1986 disasters... BUt what sucks is Burers in Call of pripyat THERE LIKE GODS...

It isnt... Ive played all 3, man there all sequels... remember strelok dies in ALL endings.... CoP he isnt dead... in CoP he gives all the stuff he got to scientist... Clear sky ending picks up on Chernobyl Beginning Remember the death truck?? if you played Chernobyl first then Cs then CoP its easy to follow the cutscenes

thats the order. and there is 1 ending (well, techniclly 2) where sterloks doesent die! these wish endings are false endings. there are 2 canon endings, where sterlok either joins cc or he destroys it. in canon sterlok destroys cc and then Cop happens. so yeah, cop is sequel to Soc, not prequel

No theres a part where he dies... Both parts he die... if he joins he dies in the tube and becomes part of c-concious if he dont join he get tele outside destroys c-concius and dies in the grass... he dont fall asleep he dies... pripyat is before just released later!

when i finished the game, this ending appeared.all people say that the ""true" ending is the peaceful one, the good one....but it's the MOST difficult to get, I'd say it's almost impossible.. ;(

Actually, no. The Wish Granter does not grant wishes, it subverts them. Strelok wishes the destruction of humanity, so instead, the Monolith leaves him in the dark and all alone. Nothing really happens, but Strelok gets his wish: to him, humanity is gone.

It might be like the blind ending, where the Zone 'dissapears' as Strelok cannot see it, he is simply put away from humanity?

That's exactly it. In the "blind"-ending, the Zone disappears - but only to Strelok, as he can no longer see it. Same goes for this ending, he is forever separated from humanity, so to him, it is gone.

@TeamFortressHeavy 100% agree. I already know too much people who rather stick with their Halos and Modern Warfares. In S.T.A.L.K.E.R you need to get your ammunition,armor,weapons and food yourselves. Also you have to repair your armor and weapons. In S.T.A.L.K.E.R-games the game beats you :)

@TeamFortressHeavy I have oblivion lost with arsenal mod for stalker shadow of Chernobyl and the first time I got to the military complex (after the sewer) I had to save after every kill and go hide while my health came back. Once you get the hang of stalker it is an amazing game to play.

To rage quit a game forever is having no brain. How would a player learn, if he doesn't look two times behind his back, to check if whether an enemy is not sneaking behind him, like it can happen in S.T.A.L.K.E.R.? And it's the only game I've seen this.
My man, It's good to see people who still have reasonable thinkings about these kinds of thing.

The thing that annosy me in stalker is the unlogical hit detection and damage system. Even at point blank range, its not one headshot kill. The bugs in the game piss me off aswell. But apart from that, stalker is a pretty good game indeed. But halo is more fun in my opinion. Stalker is the more realistic and annoying game, but halo is the more fun game. Try to be a bit neutral for once...
