Smoke Kombos tuturial(Easy to Advanced) by Medina4life

Hello everyone. I playing mk9 1 month ego. I fighing with raiden not bad now. I have learn short combos.

Now i wonna learn full combos. But i have input response speed problem. I think this problem because,

im using joypad not joystick. In one of the raiden's full combo i should used teleport then low punch,

it should works quikly, but in my case i have delay ~= 0.2 second after teleport and cant low punch immediately.

May be i need to use joystick, not joypad.

X Rays are pretty useless in this game when you can save the meter for breakers, and enhanced moves. Especially when some normal combos do more damage than X Ray combos

for those of you who are wondering why cant you do a smoke bomb after air throw , they patched it , thumbs up so everybody can see this :D and also thumbs up if you think its bullshit .

Also, a good wall combo is, smoke grenade, combustion, combustion, uppercut.

@thedotiskewl75 This combo lacks imagination.. personally, if I see someone using uppercuts as a combo finisher, I immediately assume that they're not too skilled with their characeter.. Uppercuts are mainly best used outside of combos due to damage scaling. What I mean by this is that they should be used as simple punishers for things like someone jumping at you predictably or if you duck someone elses uppercut, etc. etc..

He guys I got a decent easy combo. What u do is jump kick air throw smoke grenade then X-ray gives u 48 damage and is really easy to pull of won me a lot of matches online

I actually tried your combos but everytime I used smoke grenade after the air grab, it doesn't seem to work. Any advice?

@DevilMatrix You have to do the motion for the smoke granade while you are in the air to buffer it so it comes out right after you land.

Doing the kick air grab closer to the ground helps you a lot too.

Great tutorial though, just would have been better if you did all the combo's like you did the last two, but just doing them in regular motion and then re-doing it again in slow motion instead of trying to explain what your meaning, especially with the beginning ones that you didn't show in slow motion.

For your 28% combo dude you can add 3 more % instead of doing the forward kick right away after the 2 combustions add smoke bomb or enhanced smoke bomb (whatever floats your boat) then do the forward kick and it's around 31-33% also pretty easy too.

@samo22322 You have to unlock it (buy it in the krypt, then click on the character in the nekropolis), then press start at when you are hovering on the character right before a match to select a different costume.

For people who try to learn smoke, it is best to ALWAYS press the throw button after a kick/punch in the air. Throw will come out if you hit, if you miss or get hit yourself it won't come out. Nothing to lose and everything to gain.Simple tip really but lot of people seem to be not aware of it.

@supersamurai107 actually I now incorporate it in one of my combos, I found it after I made this, it goes 3 down 1 2 dash forward, 3 2, dash 3 2, smoke grenade forward jump then teleport punch, it does 38% damage

@The904scooby Because the 1,2,3,4 config can be read universally for Xbox, PS3, arcade stick users and fightpad players, Lots of people have their own configuration setup. This really is the most easy to pronounce and read notation.
