Okay lets end this once and for all. I am very fluent in Chinese, maybe even more so than my English, so... Cho has no meaning. It does not mean f!@# your mum, its does not mean BALL, it does not mean nothing, it does not mean anything. It has NO meaning whatsoever. Thats why players from all countries shout CHO when they win regardless of where they're from.
@Bossiiiii Cho or Qiu means ball (as in the Chinese term for table tennis: Ping Pang Qiu). In this context it means something akin to "good ball" or "good point." The most common western equivalents would be "come on!" (english) or "Allez!" (french).
Don't be so harsh on Wang Hao's display of emotions at the end. After losing to Zhang Jike in Way to Moscow National Team Trials earlier this month, LGL scolded him EXTREMELY harshly (on camera during an interview) about how he lost his confidence ever since 2010 began. He was even tearing up during that interview. This win against Zhang here symbolizes his return to form and he should embrace the moment. Besides... nothing is sweeter than revenge.
And in any case I think it's great for players to show emotions in general, after all this was a semi-final of a major pro-tour tournament. To me there was no unsportsmanlike behaviour in that celebration.
What an asshole Wang Hao is with all of the CHOing at the end. This is one rare win for you over a now superior player Wang Hao, so savor it. Oh, and I hope you enjoyed getting ran over by Ma Long in the final!
I think it's just a kind of expression and no offensive to anybody. Liu guoliang gave him so much pressure and now he's getting better, 4:0 over Zhang Jike, what a release for Wang Hao

Come on! The last one at 4:45 is clearly uncalled for, as that's when they're about to shake hands. He then barely shakes Zhang Jike's hand and doesn't even look him in the eyes while doing so. You're telling me that's not meant to be offensive?

@Fakeslimshady u should go back to learn chinese. cho is ball used as "point". other countries picked it up cuz ping pong is from china.

@17teacmrocks "cho" is ball? REALLY? Where did you learn your chinese from? Mars? LMAO
Fakeslimshady 10 months ago
@17teacmrocks And you should learn some history. Table tennis originated in late nineteenth century Britain.

Well.. Are you retarted? I mean, not to be offensive, but the table say adidas all around the sides. And it has there insignia.

It's very possible that it's another table and Adidas is a huge sponsor..so it has Adidas branding.
I've never heard of Adidas making TT tables before.
