  • Question: Are the Gao Brother's making art or manipulating Cultural Revolution and Mao imagery with the aim of, "capitalizing on the commercial art boom"?

  • Don't feel bad, they're starting to forbid art in the USA too.

  • @PERKINSPRODUCTIONS1

what kind of art ? example please

  • @1Chloris, I mean they have ways of censoring art in the Americas if said art has a message that does not agree with the filthy soul dung on God's plate families agenda of taking everything you had, as I write this.

  • I really liked the kneeling Mao statue.

  • Because it's not democracy in china.

  • why

    is

    it

    forbidden??

  • its Christan art ?

  • people call random shi=t art these days

  • These kids are playing with fire, they can be sent to a "Re-education camp" for 5 to 10 years.

  • well, mao at this point, is no longer just a person - he is a historical and cultural figure - an idea - just as much as he is a person. so.. putting boobs on him, i think - is fair game.

  • that one where he's on his knees seems like it may one day be accepted, but the one with breasts is outright preposterous. They say that it's prohibited for the same reason as the kneeling Mao but that's a plain offensive for ANYONE to depicted that way. These artists went a little too extreme in attempt to prove their point.

  • jesus ? wtf are you doing there you not chinese

  • And ...why would they want to attach BOOBs to Mao??? That would have been more of an insult than an art form.

  • Wow impressive, those artists are very brave.

  • That is awesome. Thanks for posting this video!

  • I farted into my pantalones.

  • mau was bad?

  • It's very interesting thou i do wish they'd have more freedom for others to see their works and not just the few that can.good luck to them

  • Lucky for them the thought polie hasn't busted in yet.

Hopefully their art will rise one day.

  • When will this cultural revolution paranoid mentality end? These pop artists look young, but still live in the post-Mao era of the 1980s.

  • Yes paranoia is not needed when getting beat up and raided, completely wacky to do so

  • it's not an indictment on the artists themselves rather the reverberation of the effects of the revolution. the passage of time may heal, but memories never fade.

  • Interesting.
