I don't think she's that bad...I've been playing for 40 years and when I was her age, I didn't play as well as her as far as speed and some techniques...but then it's not always about speed and technique..as far as using the pinky is concerned it's up to each individual guitarist as to whether to use it or not..Leslie West is known not to use the pinky and still to this day puts out great riffs and blues licks..I think she will do well as she gets older and wiser

@gingersteve believe it or not, this is a legit technique of learning. If you practice something intensely for 10 mins 6 times spaced over the day, it will be absorbed better than practicing a technique for an hour solid. I think she's got a point, even if her delivery of it isn't exactly clear.
hey im not being meen your playing style is great in solos but versitilaty is good to have and if you would study more styles like blues and flaminco finger plucking you would sound alot better just advice good job
Does anyone also find that if you are trying to write that you don't get into 'the zone' until you have been going for some time... I used to find that although I might suddenly have some inspiration and get a huge chunk of an idea, I'd struggle to find my way to a completed piece of music or lyrics unless I sat there and worked through some kind of barrier... suddenly I'd be in 'the zone' and things would just flow.
I think it has alot to do with your potential. How is it that some 5 year olds can play piano like a pro? Brcause they practiced for years? No they had a much greater potential to start. Some can practice til the day they die and never become very good. Such makes up the world of the haves and have nots. Not who is deserving but who makes the grade by having greater potential....

It's true! But if you are going to practise techniques you should play at least 2-3 hours non-stop! I think more in the way of switching through techniques and as you would play along to a music backer, or a song in between those hours..
you didn't mention anything about muscles memorization. practicing for hours and hours and hours at a time is benificial in that sence, yea it can wear you out but your fingers WILL become faster and more accurate the more you play the same thing over and over. i have to disagree with you on that one. the more you practice the better you will get. in your other video you said somthing about putting breaks on your social life, that is a good habit cause more time for practice :).

Does anyone also find that if you are trying to write that you don't get into 'the zone' until you have been going for some time... I used to find that although I might suddenly have some inspiration and get a huge chunk of an idea, I'd struggle to find my way to a completed piece of music or lyrics unless I sat there and worked through some kind of barrier... suddenly I'd be in 'the zone' and things would just flow.

I think it has alot to do with your potential. How is it that some 5 year olds can play piano like a pro? Brcause they practiced for years? No they had a much greater potential to start. Some can practice til the day they die and never become very good. Such makes up the world of the haves and have nots. Not who is deserving but who makes the grade by having greater potential....

But besides that, haters are just useless and annoying beings who attempt to slow you down, and crash your dream to actually become something in your life. When i was 19 year old, i had a lot of haters. Mostly men! A guy once tried to punch me because he didn't like that i got all the girls, and he ended up cleaning the road with his face. The thing is, don't give a crap about them. Just keep doing it till you succeed.

It's true! But if you are going to practise techniques you should play at least 2-3 hours non-stop! I think more in the way of switching through techniques and as you would play along to a music backer, or a song in between those hours..

you didn't mention anything about muscles memorization. practicing for hours and hours and hours at a time is benificial in that sence, yea it can wear you out but your fingers WILL become faster and more accurate the more you play the same thing over and over. i have to disagree with you on that one. the more you practice the better you will get. in your other video you said somthing about putting breaks on your social life, that is a good habit cause more time for practice :).
