I was never a Cam Newton fan, but mostly because he is like a smart version of Terrelle Pryor, and as a Buckeye, I was jealous. I am a petty individual. I wanted Cam to fail so badly-- chanting "the spread is not west coast!" over and over in my head. Then I was made aware of his debut performance in the NFL. I had assumed his talent was too spread oriented, but then came game day and after those stats, I had to shut the fuck up; he's a bitching talent. Looks like he is indeed the real thing.

The kid is out there fighting hard trying to keep up with other teams, but his inconsistent defense isn't helping him do anything. He has a good receiver in Steve Smith, and some other players on offense that are decent, but unless he is Aaron Rodgers, he is not going to lead his teams to wins every week with a bad defense.

@hunterman823 i agree. i like ron rivera and rob chudzinki but their dc isnt as good, and captain munerlyn could probably do a better job in the backfield. He makes a couple of good plays a game but the rest is below average-average. and all but one person on their D-line is in thier first or second dear. and the o-line is aging and is plauged by injuries. I think that they will have a winning record next year. good luck in college.
