I still cannot believe we lost this game. After losing that 4th set in the worst way possible (24x19), everything went wrong afterwards (even though we were winning the 5th set).

En athenas se notaba la competitividad de todos los equipos, pero en Beijíng se veía la falencia de todos ellos "Rusia, China, Cuba, Italia". Donde Brazil se mostro imparable ante estos paises debido a q tenía que tener nuevas jugadoras para las próximas Olimpiadas.

En Athens 2004 si se notaba la competitividad en los equipos, nadie sabia quién iba a ganar. En Beijing se notaba el recambio de todos los equipos y se notó la superioridad de Brazil ante la falencia de ellos. Ahora se verá realmente la competitividad en Londres 2012.

En esas olimpiadas las Chinas se dieron el lujo de cachetear a las Rusas en preliminares del Grupo B por un 3x0 y luego repitieron la Final China volteando el marcador de 2 - 0 por 3x2 llevandose el oro olimpico , mientras q en semifinales se cobraron la revancha de las preliminares con Cuba por 3x2 las Chinas en ese 5to set con el ekipo cubano estaban muy enchufadasss sobre todo en el 5to set arriesgando su bloqueo y su contrataques por zaguero y posicion 4 q hizo mucho efecto
q cojudez q faltandote un punto en el 4to set de una semifinal de voley te lleguen a voltear el marcador por 26-28 , Valeswka reacciono muy tarde en el 4to set cuando recien russia empato el marcador logro pasar al punto 25 pero fue demasiado tardeeeeee

Pues no, no van a cambiar de armadora para los ultimos puntos, sería absurdo. El cambio que hizo toda la Olimpíada era poner a FABIANA para que bloquee ya que es mucho mas alta que Fernanda, pero al sacar a Fernanda tenían que poner a Fofao... por eso el DT se vuelve loco cuando solo le permiten hacer un cambio, ya que el equipo se quedaba sin armadora... pero no influyo mucho ya que las rusas hicieron punto en su primer ataque. Por eso inmediatamente regresa Fernanda.

Dont be stupid... that match was very close... both teams could have won, Russia was luckier and eventually won, but that was by no means a massacre.
Btw, we can call a massacre what Brazil did to Cuba in the WGP 2008,since 2005, Brazil has played against Cuba 11 times and only lost only one match by the minimum difference of points in the tie-breaker, when Brazil's team was not complete.
what USA did to Cuba in the Semifinal of the Beijing OG was a massacre too!
The athens match is also one of the most outstanding I've ever seen. Russia being the underdog, who would've thought brazil would lose! goodness truly miraculous and it so such an overwhelming game, It only show us that anything is possible and no matter how who's who you are in the volleyball scene anyone could defeat you.
What brazil did to russia in Beijing was amazing! it was a volleyball lecture, Brazil team destroyed Russia, it was a true humiliation! 25-14, 24-14, 25-16 - this match showed who is who in the volleyball scene!

Everybody was pointing out Russia as one of the favourite teams to win the Gold Medal and they were not even able to score 20 points in each set against Brazil. The Russians were given a volleyball class by Brazil's team.
who needs your consideration? It is my opinion and deal with it. I also think that the other massacre was in Athens and the the one in the WCH 2006. that's why brazil won the olympics because of the lessons that they have learned when playing against russia and ofcourse from other teams such as Cuba and china. Btw I'm a happy for brazil.
You don't have to be offended because Brazil's victory over Russia was by a huge difference of points and the only Russian victory was by a 2-point difference in the tie-breaker.
The truth is, Brazil could have beaten Russia both in Athens and in the World Championship, Brazil was leading the tie-breaker and eventually lost by the minimum difference of points.
Besides, it goes without saying that Brazil's team plays a much better volleyball than Russia and the only advantage the Russian team have is their height. They were lucky twice and beat Brazil by the minimum difference of points in the tie-breaker in Athens (and what did they won apart from the opportunity of being the opponents of the Olympic Champions China?) and in the World Championship?
Finally, Russia was so damn lucky in Athens 2004 and in the WCH 2006 that Paula wasn't able to play these two competitions. Everybody nows that we almost beat Russia without her, with her Brazil would have massacred Russia like it did in Beijing and you have to deal with it.

Playing sport professionally without knowing the basic legitimate expression is a pity. En athenas se notaba la competitividad de todos los equipos, pero en Beijíng se veía la falencia de todos ellos "Rusia, China, Cuba, Italia". Donde Brazil se mostro imparable ante estos paises debido a q tenía que tener nuevas jugadoras para las próximas Olimpiadas.
En londres 2012 se verá realmente la competitividad de estos equipos.

En Athens 2004 si se notaba la competitividad en los equipos, nadie sabia quién iba a ganar. En Beijing se notaba el recambio de todos los equipos y se notó la superioridad de Brazil ante la falencia de ellos. Ahora se verá realmente la competitividad en Londres 2012.

En esas olimpiadas las Chinas se dieron el lujo de cachetear a las Rusas en preliminares del Grupo B por un 3x0 y luego repitieron la Final China volteando el marcador de 2 - 0 por 3x2 llevandose el oro olimpico , mientras q en semifinales se cobraron la revancha de las preliminares con Cuba por 3x2 las Chinas en ese 5to set con el ekipo cubano estaban muy enchufadasss sobre todo en el 5to set arriesgando su bloqueo y su contrataques por zaguero y posicion 4 q hizo mucho efecto

Pues no, no van a cambiar de armadora para los ultimos puntos, sería absurdo. El cambio que hizo toda la Olimpíada era poner a FABIANA para que bloquee ya que es mucho mas alta que Fernanda, pero al sacar a Fernanda tenían que poner a Fofao... por eso el DT se vuelve loco cuando solo le permiten hacer un cambio, ya que el equipo se quedaba sin armadora... pero no influyo mucho ya que las rusas hicieron punto en su primer ataque. Por eso inmediatamente regresa Fernanda.

Dont be stupid... that match was very close... both teams could have won, Russia was luckier and eventually won, but that was by no means a massacre.
Btw, we can call a massacre what Brazil did to Cuba in the WGP 2008,since 2005, Brazil has played against Cuba 11 times and only lost only one match by the minimum difference of points in the tie-breaker, when Brazil's team was not complete.

The athens match is also one of the most outstanding I've ever seen. Since 1996 Brazil and Russia faced each other 4 times in the OG with three victories for Brazil and one victory for Russia.
Atlanta OG - Preliminary Round

I think your opinion should not be taken into consideration. The only massacre was the Beijing's. (25-14, 25-14, 25-16)
Everybody was pointing out Russia as one of the favourite teams to win the Gold Medal and they were not even able to score 20 points in each set against Brazil. The Russians were given a volleyball class by Brazil's team.
Too bad Russian volleyball is decadent!

who needs your consideration? It is my opinion and deal with it. I also think that the other massacre was in Athens and the the one in the WCH 2006. that's why brazil won the olympics because of the lessons that they have learned when playing against russia and ofcourse from other teams such as Cuba and china. Btw I'm a happy for brazil.

You don't have to be offended because Brazil's victory over Russia was by a huge difference of points and the only Russian victory was by a 2-point difference in the tie-breaker.
The truth is, Brazil could have beaten Russia both in Athens and in the World Championship, Brazil was leading the tie-breaker and eventually lost by the minimum difference of points.

Besides, it goes without saying that Brazil's team plays a much better volleyball than Russia and the only advantage the Russian team have is their height. They were lucky twice and beat Brazil by the minimum difference of points in the tie-breaker in Athens (and what did they won apart from the opportunity of being the opponents of the Olympic Champions China?) and in the World Championship?

Finally, Russia was so damn lucky in Athens 2004 and in the WCH 2006 that Paula wasn't able to play these two competitions. Everybody nows that we almost beat Russia without her, with her Brazil would have massacred Russia like it did in Beijing and you have to deal with it.
And I don't give a damn if you are happy or not with Brazil's Olympic title. All you have to do is applaud the best volleyball team of the World.

Get a grip okay? and chill for pete sake's it's just my opinion. and what makes you think I'm offended? goodness I also think that Brazil is the best team in the world right now as in as of the moment and I've applauded a long time ago. gosh stop overreacting and just accept the fact that things can't your way and we have different opinions about everything okay? so just respect it. I was just stating what i feel and you don't have to agree with it or consider it.

Brazil's team is the tiger in the forest! They will dominate the volleyball scene from now on and you have to deal with it!
We have won the 2001, 2003, 2005 and 2007 editions of the Junior World Championships and the adult team is young enough to play together for the next eight years.
Brazil is the only country in the world with Olympic Gold Medals both in male and female indoor volleyball and male and female beach volleyball.
Being envy and jealous won't change a thing!

What a silly response. We never pay attention to the Junior game because kids should be in school before getting the professional training. Playing sport professionally without knowing the basic legitimate expression is a pity. There are many times that Brazilian women show their middle fingers on and off the court, delay games, pretend no touch when there were obvious touches. Player #9 and #4 are the representatives.

By the way, I guess Humble is not defined in the Brazilian culture. The American and the Chinese fans show inspiration in their words when their teams win. The Brazilians, on the other hand, would say "Brazil is the best", "We will win forever", "domination", etc. I just feel the egocentric from the Brazilian fans. Look at your words carefully, in 2008, Brazil won gold in women's indoor vball only. Their domination is dying down. Among all players in the Brazilian team, I only like #12.

If you like a player or if you hate all the team, I don't give a damn. No one is asking for you to like the Brazilian players. You have to respect them, though. What they did should be respected and this has nothing to do with being humble, but with being proud.
Brazil is humble enough to acknowledge that many other teams are capable of beating them and that's why their victory was so amazing, cause this was supposed to be the most balanced OG and Brazil dominated the whole competition.

It is clear that you are green with envy and you are saying lies about Brazil's players and the Brazilian fans regard on them. Give our girls a break. They are currently the team to beat in the world, the team everybody looks up and I am sorry if that frustrates you! It is time for the Brazilian fans to celebrate, maybe the team you root for will have its time someday and I hope that happen, cause you seem to be so bitter with the Brazil's success, it might have been a serious blow for you.

I am not asking you to give me a damn. I am telling you my opinions. BTW, you don't know what is domination. Look at cuba in 1994 and Italy in 2007, they won the world title without losing a set! That's domination.
If you are a professional volleyball player, you can immediately tell that the 2004 Brazilian team is actually stronger than the 2008 team. Mari is not a good serve receiver and she is positioned to receive serves in all 6 rotations. Fafo's block is weaker than #14 in 2004.

Maybe you are the monkey when it comes to being informed about volleyball, professional commentator. Italy has beat Servia only in the tie-breaker in 2007, against Serbia the lost sets don't count? Is that correct, Mr. Professional?
