The Phottix Cleon Wired / Wireless Remote Control in Action

I would like to buy one like this for my Nikon D300s, what's the best place to buy in the UK?

Also, does the receiver force the camera's metering to stay on?

unfortunately it seems phottix no more supports Cleon II for D300.

I receive today:

I get a red light on my wireless transmitter, but no lights on the receiver. Do I need to change the batter on the transmitter or receiver or both?

@cyde92 Simply replace the battery. I have had mine for a few years. The Red Light was not coming On but I was I was able to shoot with the unit attached to the camera. Once I replaced the battery, the transmitter was able to query the receiver (Red Light) came on, AF worked and I was clicking while standing feet away from my D300.

Does this work if you are using the main pop up flash to control two other flashes for portraits etc.?

Yes, but you'll have to hang the receiver somewhere else.

Vn. Would this work with the Nikon D700? or is there a different model for the D700. Definately need to get my hands on this remote...

Yes, the remote will work with the D700. Nikon's mid to high-end digital SLR cameras (D300, D3, D700, D3X) use the same, 10-pin remote terminal.

I just this on ebay, It just arrived and works as shown here. It cost a small fraction of the Nikon product. Who cares how long it lasts, if it breaks I will buy more.
