  • I don't know how I discovered Iron and Wine, but goodness do I love them. (:

  • online at leakedmovies . biz

  • Check out Aaron Mobberley - Looking For

  • banjo solo is the best

  • sounds alot like personal jesus....am just saying DON'T KILL ME

  • this reminds me of johnny cash's cover of personal jesus.... just the guitar part though

  • i first thought of johnny cash's 'personal jesus' interpretation :D

    i like this, too.

  • two people are damned..

  • @WolfShadowsong I think somebody said if you don't like this your going to hell or something haha and two people disliked it

    I love Sam beam!

  • THE MOST ORIGINAL BAND EVER <3

  • If anyone gives a thumbs down they're going to hell...

  • so simple,so rootsy,so easy to play all his stuff..he knows how to work a melody around an easy chord prog..very nice

  • its amazing. no thumbs down, as it should be with iron and wine. 100% viewer satisfaction

  • I wonder what Sam's chin looks like ..

  • i love sam beam. i've never heard an iron and wine song i didnt like.

  • i heard this song on a mumford and sons station on Pandora, fell in love instantly

  • what does this intro sound like? it's really familiar.

  • @CrimsonEmpire Agreed

  • @CrimsonEmpire it reminded me of a led zeppelin song, not sure if you were thinking the same though lol =)

  • @murkage19

the song i think you're thinking of is gallows pole.

  • @CrimsonEmpire Personal Jesus by Depeche Mode or maybe the cover of Personal Jesus by Johnny Cash

  • what's the sing about? White/black love affair in the 1800s maybe?

  • @IcyScythe i think its about a black girl getting taken from her home in africa into slavery, just from reading the lyrics, don't know for sure

  • @Orficedestroyer

i think that this is a black man who is going to be hanged for a relationship with a white girl in reference to the racism in the south where "iron&wine comes from

  • @ndarewindahood i must have been drunk when i said that before, your definition is clearly the right one

  • @ndarewindahood Yeah, that's definitely my interpretation of the song.

  • is that billy mays on the cover?

  • @gamemaster52 thats sam beam^^

  • is it me? or does that guy look like billy mays?

  • can't help but move some part of my body to this... love the sorta sitar influenced solo.

  • I just listened to lisa cunninghams cover of this. she fucking SLAUGHTERED it. It was comparable to taking a thousand baby seals and beating them with a wooden baseball bat wrapped in barbed wire and hammered full of nails. FUCKING AWFUL. Sam Beam should file a lawsuit for destroying his masterpiece. omfg I cannot describe how awful that cover of her's was. I've heard better covers on a 50 dollar walmart guitar. fuck.

  • The guitar sounds like in Bad Things of Jace Everett :P Even the same key...

  • I really want to know is Sam partakes in the marijuana or not. I mean his music is a stoner's kryptonite so I wouldn't be too surprised. Iron and Wine fucking destroys me when I'm under the influence.

  • Yay! found it on paradiseradio!!! so ecited to collect new music:)

  • nprbiz. I totally agree! She's phenomenal and her cover of this song is amazing.

  • Take me too >_>

  • reminds me of personal jesus by depeche mode

  • agree

  • haha it really does as well!!

  • Thanks for including the lyrics. I always appreciate that.

  • Lisa Hannigan does an awesome cover of this song.. search for her live performance at paramount in seattle.. WOW is all i can say.

  • I love ALL of his music. But his slow folky songs are the ones I love the most.

  • my favorite music to play on guitar... Love Iron & Wine

  • I love how he goes from straight folk to these bluesy type songs. He sounds like a professional amatuer, if that makes any sense.

  • it just mixes well... folk and blues sort of go hand in hand when you listen to them.

  • @EZEEKEEL a beautiful oxymoron

  • @EZEEKEEL

Simplicity can be the best thing for a song.

  • @EZEEKEEL i think he would really appreciate that comment.

  • I love this song! thank you so much! =)

  • I'm not sure if it's correct but apparently to play this song you just strum/pluck the top two strings. the second from top is set on two and the top is open then 3. it sounds the same, yet not quite right, maybe it's just the guitar.

  • great song, need more be said.

  • i love this song!

  • i listened this on a trip, it was really cold and foggy. It was a great atmosphere for the song, and i listened to it over and over and over.

  • haha at first i thought u meant drug trip

  • OK, so listen to THIS song...... then listen to "One True Love" - by the O'Kanes.

  • so what?

  • iron and wine, truly amazing. they really are something hey?
