Chace Crawford is cute but cute won't make this remake of "FootLoose" a hit. DEREK HOUGH would make this movie as big as GREASE if not bigger. Derek is handsome, hot, a GREAT dancer, he can sing and he can act. I hope Chace Crawford has to back out because DEREK is the best choice for this role, hands down. You are so right and I think everyone is super disappointed that Derek is not the lead. Nothing against Chace, but his being cast makes it clear that this movie is not going to make the quality of dancing the priority. That's what I think bothers most people. No one can touch Derek in the dancing department. If they had cast him, I think people would really take this serious as a dancing movie to see. Hopefully Chace has got the moves and they can go ahead create a new movie for Derek!!! :)

Yes that's how I first heard about Derek, from he played Ren in Footloose in the UK in 2006. I saw Footloose four times whilst it was in London. This was before he became a star on DWTS. Before Derek and Mark went to America for DWTS, I went to their last Almost Amy London gig, and thought they were excellent live. I'm glad they are now breaking America.
