@WARBOB1975 there was no Palestine Nation too...Palestine was a region made up of a number of Kingdoms including Philistine, Kingdom of Judah, Phonecia. Amongst others. The Ottoman never called the region Palestine they divided the region up between Damascus, Beriut etc but not Jerusalem. The British created the states of Israel and Palestine at the behest of the league of nations in 1920. Under the Ottoman empire you had no states or nations.

It's not exactly true. The Palestinians in Gaza are afraid of the Hamas, they are more violent and more fanatic than Fatah used to be in the past. If some of them really think that Hamas is bringing them protection, they're wrong, Israel will never surrender to terrorist attacks, but fight back.
