I'm not Australian, I've never been to Australia and I'm aware of the fact, that I may not understand the phenomena of Slim as much as Australians do, but I've loved his music since I came across it. I promise I'll visit Australia as soon as I find money to pay for a ticket from Poland ^^
Because they don't like people from poland and other countries!
The death rate of tourists coming to australia has risen to 85% since 1999.
I know its bad news but it depends where you go? You have to buy an aboriginie name like noonger to be excepted into their backyard mate.. Sorry to be the one to tell you. How long are you planning to stay if you do come? The ABO's usually attack on the third day that you are here.
That's strange. It's all in the sphere of my imagination right now, but I'd love to visit Australia one day and stay for a few weeks. But I'll stay away from aborigins xD
Ha :D Beer language is the universal language and I'm a Pole, which means I'm practically boozeproof, thus I can find a common language with anyone :P
@shawndagr8one that is the biggest load of bullshit ive heard toiday. mates from canada and and new zealand here and ive visited over there, New Zealnad seems like a smaller Aus with its own culture canada is fucking cold, But in fremantle most people got along with my mates fine.
Any fair dinkum Aussie who didn't get a lump in their throat, a chill up your spine and maybe a bit of a tear in their eye while listening to this is NOT an Aussie
Slim Dusty is a legend and icon because he was a great musical talent with an excellent band behind him and he managed to illustrate better than anyone has ever done, in performance via excellent songwriters, the character and humour pertainting to so many individual and interesting Australians hailing from all kinds of places and towns who help give Australia its rich unique flavour. AND Slim is a hero because he's about the only Aussie country singer who doesn't sing with an American accent!
Perhaps not so much a hero in a traditional sense but a great Aussie who championed Australian values through his music.Hope this helps but it is not easy to explain.Indeed I myself have trouble getting a handle on it.
R.I.P Slim Dusty.

Please, if you do get the money to come over, then dont bother mate!
Seriously, you would be like the rest of the tourists that come here to see this land and then DIE from all the ABO'S

Why should abo's (aborigins?) make me die?

Be very careful you don't get taken in by the Australian sense of humor. It's very strange and well known to cause more trouble than most aborigines.
Of course if you come across an aborigine with a sense of humor --- run for your life...

Interesting U tube name?A little crass perhaps but that is the modern Western World I suppose.Come to think of it my U tube name is quite juvenile.
