  • I'm used to eat it for my VOs (with a pop filter, of course), but that's mainly because I make my recordings in a non treated room. The results are very good, with lots of presence and a very robust sound, even with my cheap Behringer mixer as a preamp (wich is a little gain weak).

  • What I was hoping to do when I bought the Rode Podcaster was to use my webcam to produce video and use the Rode for audio. But then I have found that the Rode records as a Wav file and my webcam recording software does not copy as a Wav file. So I have been searching the web for a solution to this problem. Is there webcam software that supports wav files? Or do I need to buy a proper video camera?

If anyone reading this comment has a solution please reply.

  • Excellent job. We're considering the Procaster, the EV re20, and the SM 7b. So far, we're not sure why we should go the extra expense for either the Shure or the EV since the Procaster has good specs and sounds pretty good. Bang for the buck in this economy...that's what's necessary sometimes.

  • Love the Video Quality! I use this mic on air where I can. I prefer it over the sure sm7b. And also love the way you used the mic with the across the capsule technique. Alot of people *eat* the microphone and wonder why they're getting popping. This Mic has a built in wind screen, but with proper technique you get a perfect sound, minus plosives and a pop filter.

    Good Job!
