  • 1:37 AIR BURST!!!

  • its a hwy where else you going to go but hurry and get off it, stupid people with no brains have comments like 'yep that's texas' That would be anywhere if that happened near a hwy.

  • And well be using those things in ag class with a classfull of morons.

Maybe learning spanish isnt so hard.

  • Been on a few fires like this...it's some scary shit!!

  • Notice how the relief valves look like birthday candles?

  • Figures, the one video, in all of youtube, that I wanted to hear(sound).

  • at 1:50 that thing that shoots off is a fucking acetylene tank, it flew almost 900 yards!!

  • 4:06 lol wasn't expecting that

  • us texans CARE but i see you dont. glad you arent a texan.

  • thats not texas, cant do anything , there is alot of fire. just have to hurry and get off hyway.

  • this dam thing is gonem and id hate to be fighting this fire

  • all for shits and giggles

  • I have no idea why there are so many recent comments on this haha. I looked it up because I saw the beginning of it from the road (just driving to work, didn't know there'd be giant explosions on my commute) and it was scary as hell.

  • Scout Master says: "And THAT, my boys, is how you make a fire."

  • This could not be an episode of "Destroyed in seconds", since it took a lot more than a few seconds...

  • The road is not closed, give them a chance. What, you think roads close themselves?

  • Interesting how the traffic is still driving past, in the UK in instances of fire involving 1 acetylene cylinder the surrounding 1/4 mile is evacuated for 48 hrs - god knows how many cylinders are going up here , we'd evacuate the planet for this....

    Good video though

  • MARSHMALLOW TIME...

  • 2:10 Big dragon in shed: Gonna git you sucka!l *FWOOOSH!*

  • hahahahahah this shit is sooooo fuuucckkking cooooooolllll

  • They do it BIG in Texas

  • holy... shit...well the people in tht place died quickly. thats for sure

  • I's still like to know how anyone could be dimwitted enought to allow that road to stay open. Unbelievable.

  • thous cops sure did a great job of shutting down the road

  • So scary!!! Look at the tanks flying outta that blaze!!! As a welder is scary to think in our shop we have like 50 of those tanks!!!

  • @dcccapfan Just keep to the rules of taking care of those tanks and you'll do fine. Keep those check valves and regulators in good shape and you'll live long time.

  • Who else sees the flying tank at 1:37?

  • Chuck Norris' cigarette lighter.

  • The guy who drives by at 4:54 was breaking the speed limit....

  • Those birds at 3:50 are like, WTF!

  • Acetylene is unstable stuff. If even released at over 15psi it can detonate (in tanks it is dissolved in acetone), and nearly every mixture % with air is explosive. Many states do not allow HCCH tanks to be refilled in the state, so filling plants are in places like Texas and NJ.

  • @Snoep76239 Not for long....

  • @Nighthawke70 LOL, (as chicken Mc Nuggets fall out of the sky...)

  • Holy shit! And the cars go by like it's no big deal . . .

  • People driving by not giving a fuck, yep that's Texas.

  • @jh4dc5s i guess you are from tx how can u say texas dont care hell there is a huge fire going on, nothing to do but get out of it's way. please dont reply back it will be pointless.

  • @6catss Exactly! What were they supposed to do, pull over and help?? The best thing would have been to not drive by this fire at all, but Dallas highways make that a challenge - once you're on that highway, you're committed and stopping and turning around takes about 5 miles. They were most likely unaware of the fact that the cylinders were detonating and taking off like rockets. In every other state you guys would have stopped and clogged the highways, putting people in danger.

  • @jh4dc5s You're right. I wish you had been there to rubberneck, and get your fucking head taken off by one of those canisters.

  • @jh4dc5s How do you know they don't give a fuck? You have the ability to read the minds of the people that appear in the videos you see?

  • @ericcox2 Not really, I just had some inside information about the people driving by. Seems they were all late to where ever they were going and just drove by without giving a rat's-ass.

  • HOLY FIRE BALLS THATS ME AFTER 10 COOKOUT & SONIC HOTDOG WITH CHILI AND BEANS

  • 2:00

balls of steel ...still driving by.

  • All the workers had beans for lunch.

  • some one divided by 0 again

  • holy shit i remember this. it was crazy. there was some idiot who got close and tried to help by using a hose

  • @texas9ish lol. wow. he must have been high out of his mind.

  • guys know how to party, let's go to jump through a fire))

  • And this is why I dont eat at Talk O Bell anymore..

  • that's a shit load of energy

  • @raVen670 at least 1.21 jigga-wats :-D

  • everything is always bigger in texas

  • 1:37 FTW !!!!

  • this happens when i fart in a fireplace

  • lol the people who friving their cars... feels that they are in the taping ,,, hahah action star

  • @ericsantiago011 Yeah, think I'll just drive-on-by.... N O T !!!!

  • nice fireworks.. =)

  • bloody texans always overdoing things. anybody else would have had a normal BBQ.

  • 1:40 jesus!explode!

  • Why don't we just drop acetylene bombs? Seems like it would be cheaper than the shit we make now....

  • Just like they say, everything is bigger in Texas! That includes stupidity.

  • How much is innnnnnn there?

  • It blowedup guuuud!!! Jeetyet? Jwanna? Let's go git sum ribs!

  • The road on the foreground isn't blocked !!!…

We can see ball of fire running towards it …

Once again the cops don't do their job to protect people !…

USA is like a 3rd world country

    (ok ! bad joke …)

  • the road on the foreground isn't blocked !!!…

Once again the cops don't do their job to protect people !…

  • marshmellow time

  • 1:49 WOW was that a tank that launched out of there?!

  • WOW! Amazing this was so well caught on tape!

  • I remember watching this on live tv. It was the best that I have seen on TV for most of the last decade. :o

It was cool when the oxygen tanks were hit and seeing the violet flames.

  • AWWWW SHIYTTTTTT

  • this is a time when you grab a beer, sit back, and enjoy the show!!!

  • if there were oxygen tanks in that mix, the blast would have been even BIGGER! =P

  • @Mulinlor if there was a perfect mix of that and oxigen, there would be nothing left in like 1 kilometer radious

  • Oh sheet That is too many propane tank in there i think there a person Die In there

its Like Flaming ball or Nuclear Bomb ^_^

  • Never heard of acetylene... Is it flammable? ;-)

  • @brandon9271 Umm Yeah, very flammable and very unstable. It has to be absorbed into acetone to prevent it from exploding at pressures over 15 psi.

Typical storage pressure is 200 psi in special bottles.

It is created by mixing water and calcium carbide, which gasses off and is collected in a manifold, then compressed slowly into the bottles, it takes at least 8 hours to fill any bottle.

  • WHERESS THE SOUND!?

  • The people driving by were probably like "FUCKFUCKFUCKFUCKFUCKFUCK"

  • By the way the vehicles continue to serenely drive by, you'd think this must be pretty much par for the course in Texas. (Well, would ya look a'that? Huh.)

  • @PurdueMatt

LOL or "least it aint an oil well billy"

  • lol@Enter your text here XD

  • i to would love to hear the adio for this footage .it is mental

  • I sure would like to hear a good audio recording of this.

  • This is what happens whenever I light my fart.

  • satisfying. hope nobody got hurt though.

  • WOW! You guys know how to party! All we get is a box of sparklers!

  • @Laxpowertoo Best fountain I ever saw.... Bet it was expensive. Aren't fountasins illegal that make sparks over 15 feet....?

  • Honey!!! I think I over-cooked the ribs again!!! Damn it.

  • this is happening often in 3rd-world-countries of security-regulations (as the USA). The land of the "free". People are free to practice stupidty and become a threat to others on a daily basis. Great.

  • @MillyVanillification fuck you, cockbag.

As an immigrant to the US from Europe, let me set you straight: There's America, and there's the Third World--everywhere else. That's why people line up a million a month to cross our borders, and why no one gives a shit about whatever shithole you live in. But do tell us what shithole you live in, so we can laugh.

  • @MillyVanillification Hey MillyGorilly....this is a First-World country, and the fact is...nobody was killed in the acident.

  • @MillyVanillification fuck you asswipe, no one even died here. and most third world countries don't even have the industry to need oxy-acetylene welding equipment so go to hell, America's badass and you're a punkass bitch, I don't ask the government for permission to own guns or tanks of acetylene, I sure as hell make sure I maintain my shit so this doesn't happen though.

  • and this stuff really stinks

  • we just BBQ before 2012

  • i've always wanted to take a cuttin torch to a acetylene tank......but dont want to be close enough to do it =P

  • wooo hooo, happy 4th of July

  • great balls of fire, what a wonderful after school science project, I hope everyone is OK!

  • ellamadonna!!!

  • "Hey look at those nuclear like explosions coming up on the highway, I think its a good idea to continue to drive towards the giant explosions"

  • I LOVE the smell of napalm in the morning!

  • NEATO

  • It says enter your text here, but when I try it doesn't work.

  • @xXBallistic82Xx

    You dumbass

  • As this was happening, water was being created.

  • And people still drove by like no big deal.. like at 4:44... I know everyone likes to see big booms, fires, death, etc... but flames and big bursts like that I would not be driving near there!

  • Check out the exploding acetylene missle at 1:38, left side of screen, middle.

  • almost happened at my school kil left torch on over the acetylene hose and it started smoking luckily i was able to dive and turn it off lol

  • they were flying out hundreds of feet !

  • its not fake. i go 2 a tech school 4 welding and we c vids all the time where acetylene tanks explode. and it would of been a lot worse if there was oxygen tanks there when this happened.

  • So, is it fair to say that the guy didn't open for business the next day? I really like the stupid drivers who insist on driving by. That proves evolution is not true, because natural selection should have done them in long ago.

  • @Mikyz12 If they were too near exploding acetylene tanks long ago, you mean.

I'm 27 and never had wisdom teeth.

  • That's the shittiest logic I've ever heard.

  • OMG, it's like watching the yule log on Christmas Day!

  • MASSIVE FAIL=MASSIVE WIN

  • Oxygen isn't inert, Einstein.

  • You know, it's actually kinda beautiful.

  • i have never seen many explosions

  • lol @136~1:40

  • LOL@ 1:36 ~1:40 watch in the left center ,it flies thru the air then blows

  • I like how the explosions go on for seven straight minutes. How many acetylene tanks are in there?!

  • There were hundreds, this is a distribution center for welding gases. I tried to post a link to the MSNBC site that has the actual coverage, but youtube wont let me. Copy and past this video's title in google then look for the MSNBC report. ;)

  • hundreds if not thousands. pretty incredible actually. there are other vids on YT from a HELO with better close ups of the incident. You'll see hundreds of tanks all lined up for storage and filling.

  • 0:21 = rocket cylindar, top left half

  • this has to be the best bleve ever

    best explosion ever

  • HOLY SHITTTTTTTTT

  • No...No it's not. check on here. I found a few of the vids of the same scene. One from a helo

Pretty DEADLY actually. amazing no one was killed.

  • This is real, I remember this day actually because they shut down the highway that you see right in front of the building.

  • Thanks. U took long enuff to respond...........what happened, did your pc break down or something ????

  • What blows me away is...they didn't bother closing the highway to traffic. The fire and some rupturing cylinders are making their way to the highway. and people..in their infinite wisdom keep driving by. Like holy fuck!!..are they that stupid.? It is so fucking hot the ground is smoking from the heat..and it's not even near the fire...but they keep driving by like they are oblivious. The same stupids probably believe in the 9/11 conspiracy theories. Idiots.

  • HA HA HA , ROTFLMAO !!!!

  • They did finally shut down the highway, I got stuck in the traffic that day. And you are right, a lot of Dallas drivers are fucking idiots, I deal with them daily.

  • Hahaha dont we all :)

  • happy new Year

  • Кто-то закурил в кравате)

  • Did I hurt the baby's feelings?

  • This is what happens when hell decides to light its farts lol....

  • Hey, I know - let's drive TOWARD the 200 foot columns of flame !!!

  • Yeah, I like how at 2:13 in the video, you can see in oil tanker drive by. Like really? He saw the flames, was aware he was driving an oil tanker, but did not stop. You don't see how you could make this a little worse??? I think his logic was that if he drove fast enough, the fire couldn't get him. Blew my mind that someone driving an oil tanker would drive toward a pillar of fire, wow.

  • it could have been a dairy truck....

  • could have been the short bus that you where riding on?

  • where was that bec i have lived in dallas my whole life and i dont remember that

  • it happend pretty recently.. like 3 years or less.... i remember it when it happened...they had breaking news and all that junk

  • acetylene can spontaneously decompose, resulting in hydrogen gas....very explosive....relief valve will do nothing to prevent this. why are they letting traffic come so close? a bottle can shoot off like a rocket...that'd ruin your day.

  • FIRE!

  • EPIC

  • wow even though i live in Dallas but hell that explosion would look great in a movie...WTF BOOOOOOOOOOM

  • i saw tht frum mii house

  • lurn tu spel dood

  • mfx1 is right. Acetylene explodes already at 39PSI!!! If the porus filling is loose that itself can cause explosion in the cyinder.

  • 0:08. LOL "Enter your text here".

  • airgas fire

  • At 1:38, that thing really took off, didn't it?

  • haha yea it rreally did fly xD awesome rocket haha

  • Just think, this all started because of a damaged acetylene valve. Luckily no one was hurt, but a cylinder rocketed through the air and missed a semi on the the freeway by about 20 feet!

  • wow i didnt know that happened

  • Well it sure looks different from this angle~! I was the guy with the firehose trying to cool down those cylinders on that first trailer.... A life changing event to say the least...

  • I dont think the tanks were taking off like rockets. Acetylene tanks have a safety valve that melts at a certain temperature.

The tanks are under pressure so what you are seeing is as the safety valve melts the gas shoots out under pressure like the blast of a rocket as it is ignited.

  • Excuse me, I'm no expert, but I did saw (in an other footage) a cylinder crashing down on Houstonstreet viaduct. And I've seen "things" take off and explode in mid-air. I don't believe valves can do that.

  • Oh well in a different footage, I am commenting on this footage. Aceytlene tanks do have a melt feature near the valves. Do you want me to take a pic of one to show you?

  • Did you actually see the video??? At 4:44 one almost hits a car. That was one of dozens.

  • It's highly likely that the cylinders WERE taking off like rockets. Yes Acetylene tanks have safety valves (as do all gas cylinders) but Acetylene is a special case, under pressure it is very unstable (it's stored dissolved in Acetone to help stabilise it). The safety valve prevents the cylinder from exploding into lots of shrapnel in all directions and instead sends the whole cylinder in one direction which is a slightly safer outcome.

  • I see that now that I looked closer. My understanding is that the relief valve was to prevent them from exploding. That was years ago and maybe the design is different now. Look at my channel page.

  • "...relief valve was to prevent them from exploding.". It does prevent them from exploding but it does it by letting the whole contents of the cylinder out very quickly which causes a huge fireball (not technically an explosion) and may cause the cylinder to fly some distance. This is better than a true explosion which would result in loads of nasty bits of sharp metal flying in all directions. Not sure how US cylinders handle it but UK cylinders have a fusible plug in the base of the cylinder.

  • l.o.l. mushrooms :P

  • atupid drivers ! they are looking that is danger to drive around here but they dont care!

  • look! it's the USA economy!!

  • That's why in the UK, the fire brigade put a 220 yard exclusion zone put around any fire where there is even a suspicion of the presence of gas cylinders. Imagine the shrapnel from that fire...

  • 200 meters or 218.7 yards.....sorry to be pedantic!

  • lol they forgot to add the oxygen tanks! Sort out some of dat sooty smoke it would! (Or is that why you DON'T store them together???!!!) :D

  • happy new year!!!

  • holy-terrorist:>woww very cool *=* 5/5

  • wtf boooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooom hahahaha

  • anit anyone sorting it out?

  • Where can I buy this firework?
