And how she moves her entire head to look at something just like a cat would. And how she eats the tuna at home and the sushi in the restaurant. And how she climbs over everything in her apartment. And how she hates the rain and hisses at the dogs. I like it. It's the first Catwoman they've had where she actually acts like a cat.

She is an Anti-hero not a hero, and that's why many fans hate this movie and hate the Catwoman from Batman returns.
It still is an AWFUL movie performed by Berry and bad acting from everyone else, ridiculous dialogue, absurd costume, bad music, lousy direction, poorly done action sequences, terrible story... basically everything in this wretched film is abysmal.

@PHYCOpoison The visual effects in Catwoman were some of the worst I've ever seen. Horrible graphics and CGI. For a movie with this budget it should have at least looked realistic. That CGI cat was god-awful, not to mention the scenes with Catwoman jumping around the city. If they can make it look realistic for Spider-Man why can't they do it here?
@PHYCOpoison Pitof should have discretion to make changes in that horrid script. He was the director after all. Aside from Studio control over finances, he had the ability to change small things in the script, like many of the horrible lines and scenes where Halle Berry was hissing at freaking dogs and rubbing catnip all over her face. You don't give a film with this big of a budget to someone with almost zero experience directing movies like this.

If this movie kept the DC Comic Book image to its characters and atmosphere, Catwoman would have succeeded as a movie opposed to failing miserably. It would have been cool to see Catwoman have her own movie telling her story about her life in Gotham City being a cat burglar/crime fighter. Oh well. There's always the independent short films on You Tube.

I loved the movie when I was little, I love it now, I've seen a couple other versions of Catwoman but I still like it because THE MOVIE HAD NEVER PROMISED TO GO IN THEIR FOOTSTEPS. As you can see in the scene where Ophelia tells Patience what had happened, she is not the only Catwoman, therefore, this one doesn't NEED TO be associated with Batman like a puny little sidekick. The escape from the police station, I believe, is more of a revenge stuff. She still says "I may not be a hero, but I'm not a bad guy" or something like that. She's playing by HER rules. I'd say, at best, an anti-hero.

i think the biggest problem was that catwoman was black in the movie i mean michael clarke duncan managed to pull off kingpin in daredevil, but i think many fans including myself expected the white catwoman

Halle berry is hot don't get me wrong, but from a comic fan's view this wasn't the best depiction of Catwoman. Hell I didn't really like the Michelle Pfeiffer version either. Even tho I know they wanted to focus on just her, but u can't catwoman without the Dark knight showing up or even being mentioned.
this was made to be a solo so yeah at a time it was planned for it to connect and he is referenced as michelle's picture is on the wall of past catwomen meaning it had an old batman so he couldn't be with her.

That CGI cat was god-awful, not to mention the scenes with Catwoman jumping around the city. If they can make it look realistic for Spider-Man why can't they do it here?

@PHYCOpoison Pitof should have discretion to make changes in that horrid script. He was the director after all. Aside from Studio control over finances, he had the ability to change small things in the script, like many of the horrible lines and scenes where Halle Berry was hissing at freaking dogs and rubbing catnip all over her face. You don't give a film with this big of a budget to someone with almost zero experience directing movies like this.

According to reports, Halle Berry's stunt double for the movie was none other than 29-year-old Nito Larioza -- a man. He was chosen to do the stunts because he fits Halle's description -- he has the same skin color and is the same height. Gee that's something, was hollywood really that short on Black Actresses that can do the stunts?

seriously i dont see why people are saying this movie SUCKED i saw it TWICE in theaters and both times i saw it people were laughing, rooting for catwoman while she kicked ass and everyone clapped at the end of the movie and said they loved it.. at first i was angry..but i just loved the egyptian theme! i loved the setting at night and the anti heroine status too. anything thats related to catwoman..i love! enjoyed the movie but hopefully we get a selina kyle dark movie that pays tribute to the 3 actresses who played her in the 60s.michelle pfiefers & the comics!!..we can only hope..

If this movie kept the DC Comic Book image to its characters and atmosphere, Catwoman would have succeeded as a movie opposed to failing miserably. It would have been cool to see Catwoman have her own movie telling her story about her life in Gotham City being a cat burglar/crime fighter. Oh well. There's always the independent short films on You Tube.

Damn people for God's sake, stop complaining about the movie having nothing to do with the comics... I loved the movie when I was little, I love it now, I've seen a couple other versions of Catwoman but I still like it because THE MOVIE HAD NEVER PROMISED TO GO IN THEIR FOOTSTEPS. As you can see in the scene where Ophelia tells Patience what had happened, she is not the only Catwoman, therefore, this one doesn't NEED TO be associated with Batman like a puny little sidekick. Jeez.

@AngelGoddessLove Actually, when you think about it, you see... She's NOT a hero. She looks for answers for her murder. It's all about her. The party guy, the infiltration at Hedare's house. The escape from the police station, I believe, is more of a revenge stuff. She still says "I may not be a hero, but I'm not a bad guy" or something like that. She's playing by HER rules. I'd say, at best, an anti-hero.

Neither this movie nor Batman Returns portrayed Catwoman.
It's simple: Catwomen is Selina Kyle, a Burglar and Professional Thief with a murky past who took up the Cat moniker and costume after taking inspiration from Batman.

Although she has great physical skills and abilities, she EARNED them the old-fashioned way, through years of training.
No supernatural instant fixes here. No BS "Cat-abilities". SHe's a Batman character, not Peter Parker.
Frankly, the actual story is a hell of a lot more interesting than the crap the idiot screenwriters in both these movies came up with.
So "Catwoman" has yet to be portrayed in live action movies. Berry and Pfeiffer were FAIL.

i think the biggest problem was that catwoman was black in the movie i mean michael clarke duncan managed to pull off kingpin in daredevil, but i think many fans including myself expected the white catwoman
that combined with a fairly bad script makes this movie just as bad as db: evolution.
both had history to go with for the movie and both chose to ignore it

Halle berry is hot don't get me wrong, but from a comic fan's view this wasn't the best depiction of Catwoman. Hell I didn't really like the Michelle Pfeiffer version either. Even tho I know they wanted to focus on just her, but u can't catwoman without the Dark knight showing up or even being mentioned.

this was made to be a solo so yeah at a time it was planned for it to connect and he is referenced as michelle's picture is on the wall of past catwomen meaning it had an old batman so he couldn't be with her.
