i was playing in a bar and this drunk man shouted play The hills of Glenswilly wich i dident know so the bar nab wisperd play the homes of donegal with out the second part and then winked !!!! great tune
have been playing eileen donaghy and bridie gallagher all nite. trying to make a Cd up for my mum. its not easy to copy stuff from you-tube - well it takes a while!
@lorgain2 i was at a dance in creeslough in "65 and eileen, a donegal girl, was appearing at it. i think margo (daniel's sister) was at the same do, although i may be thinking of two separate do's. those were the days when i was the yank, seeing my cousins in kincasslagh, dungloe and surrounding areas and checking out the local talent. nice memories.

Ah, this brings memories of my native Donegal and the lovely voice of Eileen Donaghy. Thanks for posting it Lorgain2. Your videos are very enjoyable.
Best wishes for 2009.
Terry.

Still another tune with the same melody as 'Tramps and Hawkers' and 'Wind that Shakes the Barley'. :)
Beautiful.
