It's not because they "really love", it's because Catholic church FORBIDS divorce, & most of them don't live pass 40.
@coerdelion13 Well, I'm not so sure anyone married for love back then. People were usually bethrothed, especially the upper class. They didn't have choices. In addition, rather than divorcing, they would usually just take mistresses instead.
