finding the keys were so rewarding. i know you get that car u are using, i forget if you also get a new track as well? this is the best racing game i have ever played lol im biased haha
The original S.F. Rush was on Nintendo 64 and Playstation (although the Playstation version was terrible). Rush 2 was only on Nintendo 64 and 2049 was on Nintendo 64 and Dreamcast.
I can't believe there are people that actually played this game to win the race. My friend and I would turn on the "spawn in place", "turn cones into mines" and "unlimited time" so we could look for hidden keys, fly in the air, and most of all blow ourselves up. That never got old.
Here's my childhood... I can never play this game now, since my N64 died a long time ago. I liked my system so much, when it died, I gave it a proper burial in my backyard, with the tombstone, flowers... I even had a mini Bible in my hand as I read passages XD.
Well MAME games mostly use CPU power, unfortunately SF Rush requires a very fast CPU (by todays standards). Id say a dual core somewhere around 4ghz with a 64bit operating system would be the minimum requirements.
The developers of MAME try to make it as accurate as possible and don't worry so much about speed. Plus the Nintendo 64 version of Rush was built with the N64 in mind and is actually pretty stripped down in comparison with a lower screen resolution, less draw distance, and lower quality textures.
Hah! We had this game. The songs were so hilarious, but now they seem annoying X3 it was also fun to crash and all that stuff. Maybe we should link up the n64 again
u should have gone 2 the secrete area WHen u jump off the incomplete bridge as u did at 1:14 if u made it into that other part go down that road for a bit and there is this secrete area!! w00t lol
I never owned this game, but my best friend did, and we used to play it all the time when I went over to his house. This game and Cruisin' USA were our favorites... :D
I always thought it would be cool if they had police chases in this game, but then they made a Rush game with them (LA) and it sucked. Sad irony. Oh well. Great memories playing this at arcade and on my N64.
i used to play that with my bro and friends. cops and robbers. i once unlocked something- i dont know how- but when i touched my friends car a big tag said " you're it " and vice versa. i remember making a wish in my head about thinking it would make our little game official. never bothered to check if it was a secret i unlocked somehow. since it was like 10 years ago
This was such a great game. there were so many hidden places. It was so much fun i used to plai it wit my famili alot. What happened to racing games nowadays. Im tellin u nothin can compare to n64 games. they were the best!
You have to win a circuit first. After that when you go to race and you're on the track selection screen you press the "Z" button four times. Then go to the car selection screen and you'll be able to select the Team Rush car.
mann this used to be my favorite track until i went to the hills and crashed lol. would of still had this game untill my mom told me to give it away to my neighbors. boy i was mad.
On that track, if i wasn't the #1 to break the glass, i restarted the race.

I can tell you are using an emulator. How did you directly record this then?

@mailxxman
I used a video capture device. Look at my "Canopus ADVC-55 Review" video and I demonstrate how well it captures from a VCR, TV, and Nintendo 64.

Cool. How fast of a PC does it take to run it full speed on MAME?
ColonelAngus75 3 years ago

why in gods name does it require such limitations but a 64 is crap in comparison?

To do a tight turn tap the reverse button and you can kinda do a power slide. Takes a little getting used to though.
