@MrMAURICE200 It is well the xlc was a proto type of that first hill u saw on this coaster if the xlc was still alive i bet they would mod this so the two rides to be alike like the top thrill dragster and king da ka but during KD 06 season the ride was loosing money then made they had problems with it they took it down and recyled it but everytime i got to KD which im going back in a few weeks I go to that section were u used walk under like if the hill was a roof now its empty rip xlc

Looks boring. I mean the launch must be INTENSE but the rest is just some really long sweeping turns and of course that hill.

But hey, I bet it is nuts. I want to know what that launch is like.

the video makes it look kind of slow, but its really fast. i was sitting at the front and didnt even realize that we'd gone up the hill until we started going down it.

Exactly. When I was on it I couldn't pay attention to what was around me and where we were going to because I was stunned by the speed. I didn't realize we were going to plunge down because it climbed up so quickly.

Yeah, the launch is fucking insane. May not be the fastest top speed, but it's the fastest acceleration, and the G forces of the takeoff last for like twelve seconds. It almost hurts, it just takes your breath away, literally. Other than that, it is pretty boring. If you want excitement the whole ride, ride Steel Dragon, which is close by. Plus, Japan is just a really cool place that you need to visit.

Well, I went on Hypersonic XLC which was Air Powered as well, but it was slower. I've been on faster coasters (Kingda Ka & TTD) and compared to those two. Hypersonic was scarier because it accelerated a lot faster. I'd assume that Dodonpa's launch is Fast and...jerky? But I probably wouldn't call it unhealthy. But then again...when you assume you make an ass out of you and me :)

I've actually been on it believe it or not, and it was 'healthy', but soooo intense. I was shaking for like 30 minutes after the ride because the velocity at launch was just really something you don't expeirence, ever. This video does not give the launch justice, in real life it is more amazing.

I've ridden DoDonPa and I have neck injuries from a 2005 car wreck--they seats are VERY ergonomic and I rode it twice and it didn't irritate my injuries at all---it is great to say I have been on the fastest accelerating coaster but the only downside is this ride is over FAST--which is insane considering how much track there is (something like 1/3rd of a mile in 50 seconds).

yeah I want to ride Kingda Ka---DoDonPa is over quick too but it was worth it----did you guys know DoDonPa is like a Japanese equivalent to 'Do Re Mi'? Except, it isn't measuring pitch, it is measuring the beats of a Taiko Drum--and, while in line, you hear loudspeakers going DO DON PA DO DON PA with increasing speed---DoDonPa is freaking amazing!

I'm sorry to say that Kingda Ka has a terrible acceleration. That's what makes some of the smaller rides, such as DoDonPa, Hypersonic and Stealth great.

For anyone who can't do the math, Dodonpa's acceleration is 2.71G's, whereas the top two fastest coasters on Earth only accelerate you at 1.7G's.

TokyoBoy1 dodonpa is not the fastest coaster, it has the fastest acceleration, its not the same thing.. 107mph in about 1.5 sec thats aùazing, kingda ka is a lil more than 120mph but in about 4 seconds thats slower..
