just seen an interview with joshua and he spoke about how the record company he was with originally with, colombia I think it was, were not gonna release the simple times album until he made what they called a radio friendly hit record with a band and heavier sound than all the other songs on the album, Joshua refused because he wanted to stay true to himself he gave the money back they gave him, he left for a smaller label who released it, went to no1 on itunes, Joshuas a legend a real artist

@pintohlarge lust and anger is an emotion that can be expressed well in music, the particular problem with modern music is its too obnoxious rather than envoking emotions. it insults rather than inspire. That is why there is more appeal to songs like this. honestly any type of emotion can bring out something in yourself and touch that person to their core. It all depends on how well it is presented to the listener
