There's a thought that comes to mind when I drive by the local church on my way to work - ten percent of five hundred people's income is a lot of money. What do you do with it?

@SpecialEdAllstar Actually Christianity is one of a kind. take for example Islam: to be "saved" you should keep some laws as strict as possible, and because that's impossible, Allah will be merciful if you're lucky. with Christianity however to be saved all you need to do is to believe. you can look it up John 3:16. God wants a relationship with you he wants to be your God and he left the question up to you. He already saved you only thing you need to do is to accept that.
We are condemned, hated, befouled, descriminated against, spat on, and ostracized just because we can't believe something on faith.
We are told we will recieve all manners of punishment and pain after our deaths, even after we suffer so much on Earth.

I wouldn't say I hate anyone or anything. In fact, I have attended bible studies as a non-Christian, and have found that Christianity has some ideals that I agree with (such as being humble, not letting anger get to you, etc.). What I dislike, however, is when someone directly attacks me or my faith, and hides behind the bible while doing it. It's a form of disrespect, and I merely wish to be respected because I try my hardest to be respectful to them and others. Just my 2 cents worth. :)
In response to the description, my high school was picketed by the Westboro Baptist Church (God Hates Fags) but they don't alter my perception of Christians. Why would they, when almost every Christian I see hates them as much as I do?

I don't hate Christians at all. I don't consider people's religions at all when getting to know them and forming opinions of them. What I hate is Christianity itself. I dislike all religions, but particularly Christianity, not because some force is tempting me to, but because its beliefs are far more ridiculous than any other religion out there. When I think about different religions, none have more self contradictory and pointless stories than that of Jesus. Jesus himself is pushing me away.

I think you've done the same sort of lumping that people have always done with groups they don't understand. The reality is, most atheists don't react to words like Jesus or Christian with the kind of disdain you were hoping for. Why would we? I will admit that I did feel some discomfort with the word Islam, as I, along with Christians, am counted among the infidels in radical circles. Uh you name three of the most hateful people on youtube, Shockofgod, Venom and Geerup. They enjoy lying and provoking, which is plainly evident from their videos. If I remember correctly shockofgod doesn't allow comments on his videos, so I consider him rather cowardly as well. The other two simply never address the comments. When I think of Christianity, sometimes I think of love. Sometimes I think of people who dont like us because we are pagan, or any other religion. Now I am a gay 22 year old and my brother and parents are christian and they accept me. They don't try to change me, but love me for who I am. Loving people for who they are is what it's about.
The responses on this page prove that at least some atheists hate Christians and hate God. I am willing to admit that some people have done bad things in the name of God or religion throughout history and I personally have done somethings that go against God and against Christianity, so I am no better than anyone else. I will say that many non believers do have a general hatred of Christianity but so many people will never read the bible and many will never give God a chance. How very sad.
I don't think that most atheists hate Christianity. I don't, and I don't personally know any atheist who does. I think the reason atheists (and others) have negative responses to videos like this is you tell them that if they don't hold the same beliefs you do, they are going to be tortured forever. One of the reasons I am not a Christian anymore aside from the fact that your god is in no way good, is the fact that I don't want what is offered. I don't want to live forever. When I was young all kinds of people would try to preach and almost Everyone was a Christian, and I'd laugh and joke about "those" people. Now, 20 years later, there are almost no Christians left in comparison. I do believe in Jesus now and I am witnessing the words of the Bible happening right before my eyes. the reason why atheists focus more on Christianity than other religions is because Christianity is the one that's in people's faces and is more popular in the area we live in. If Islam were the dominate religion around here then that's what would be challenged more instead. Just being able to rattle off tons of religions in this video should say something: humanity has a vast history of making up gods. It's easy to write up a god on paper.

I am a christian personally I had an experience when I was 17 I saw people being healed at a healing meeting and when I was 19 I had an experience of God. Being a christian kinda sucks sometimes we try to reach people with love in our hearts but people are so closed of to it, but we just love you all anyway and hope you all the best.

Some people do not like Christianity because they do not trust it. Also some fundraising techneeks of some Preachers are dubious and look at that Baptist church protesting homosexuals with HATE signs. The TRUE gospel needs to be preached to set the captive free. I don't hate Christianity any more than I hate any other religion. Living in the US, though, we are exposed more to Christianity so that is what we mostly end up responding to. Actually, I don't hate any religion. I think people should be free to believe as they choose. Some religious people feel the need to force their religion on everyone else. For example, Christians act as if they own the entire month of December and cannot respect that other people celebrate other holidays.

During the period of time that I was involved with church activities, I would have described myself as a Christian. Not because I went to church, but because I was a believer in Jesus Christ, his divinity, and his sacrifice for my personal sins.

1. The Bible is not one book, it began as a collection of 66 books and letetrs from different periods of time. This is accepted by scholars.
2. People often interpret the bible based off of their own understanding of what they feel is true, right or wrong, not the other way around. So to say we need the bible for our morales, is wrong.

I wouldn't say I hate anyone or anything. In fact, I have attended bible studies as a non-Christian, and have found that Christianity has some ideals that I agree with (such as being humble, not letting anger get to you, etc.). What I dislike, however, is when someone directly attacks me or my faith, and hides behind the bible while doing it. It's a form of disrespect, and I merely wish to be respected because I try my hardest to be respectful to them and others. Just my 2 cents worth. :)

In response to the description, my high school was picketed by the Westboro Baptist Church (God Hates Fags) but they don't alter my perception of Christians. Why would they, when almost every Christian I see hates them as much as I do?

I am willing to admit that some people have done bad things in the name of God or religion throughout history and I personally have done somethings that go against God and against Christianity, so I am no better than anyone else. I will say that many non believers do have a general hatred of Christianity but so many people will never read the bible and many will never give God a chance. How very sad.

I don't think that most atheists hate Christianity. I don't, and I don't personally know any atheist who does. I think the reason atheists (and others) have negative responses to videos like this is you tell them that if they don't hold the same beliefs you do, they are going to be tortured forever. Then, you provide the evidence for this based on the fact that... you believe it. If you say this to me, it sounds an awful lot like you think I DESERVE eternal punishment for no apparent reason.

One of the reasons I am not a Christian anymore aside from the fact that your god is in no way good, is the fact that I don't want what is offered. I don't want to live forever. the reason why atheists focus more on Christianity than other religions is because Christianity is the one that's in people's faces and is more popular in the area we live in. If Islam were the dominate religion around here then that's what would be challenged more instead. Just being able to rattle off tons of religions in this video should say something: humanity has a vast history of making up gods. It's easy to write up a god on paper.

There has been a lot of bad publicity, ( news) in the past 20 years concerning Church leaders who have been caught doing ungodly things. This can not be denied. I don't hate Christianity any more than I hate any other religion. Living in the US, though, we are exposed more to Christianity so that is what we mostly end up responding to. Actually, I don't hate any religion. I think people should be free to believe as they choose. Some religious people feel the need to force their religion on everyone else. For example, Christians act as if they own the entire month of December and cannot respect that other people celebrate other holidays.

This is what I think! We are liveing in the days of Noah. Some of us are already in the life boat but many aren't. I don't understand anyone who would be offended by a person who has found a great peace and a more joyfull life by accepting The Son of God and is so joyous about it that they want to tell others about it. During the period of time that I was involved with church activities, I would have described myself as a Christian. Not because I went to church, but because I was a believer in Jesus Christ, his divinity, and his sacrifice for my personal sins.
I no longer believe that. So I no longer call myself a Christian.

@dreamerd2004 Quite a bit. 4 years of a Baptist run Christian school. (Grades 7-10) Followed by twenty years as a believer, of worship services, prayer meetings, and bible study. Both group study and daily devotional reading.
The key to my change of mind was when I allowed myself permission to question it's veracity, without fear that I was committing the thought crime of blasphemy.
Outside that bubble of indoctrination, things that can be proven incorrect, quickly emerge.

Just got to ask, you mention in the disclaimer atheist along with people of the many religions that fall under the Pagan religions, why would you do that? Not to slant any of the three you named or more, but Pagans (Druids/ Wika ect) work on the assumtion of faith too, just with a different amount of Gods. Grouping them with a group that does not belive in any God / Gods is not logical. Where would Agnostics fit into the disclaimer, I just think your disclaimer is riddled with loopholes.

1. The Bible is not one book, it began as a collection of 66 books and letetrs from different periods of time. This is accepted by scholars.
2. People often interpret the bible based off of their own understanding of what they feel is true, right or wrong, not the other way around. So to say we need the bible for our morales, is wrong.
If anybody needs a book it is you, because you clearly didn't already know what I just told you, and you thought everyone else was like you.

Christ (by His very NAME) said that He was the the Son of God, and that He was the ONLY way to the Father. If Ghandi thought that Christ was lying about something THAT important, why would Ghandi like him. Someone was being dishonest, and it wasn't Christ.
