Not everyone has AT&T or T-Mobile....plus the iPhone doesnt really have that much of an advantage over the Instinct. Instinct is also cheaper, cheaper monthly plan, and more features.
i have the phone in chicago. its very fast in loading pages in mobile mode, when tryna use the full html, it kinda render pages slow, also i dont like that with samsung phones it takes so long to load movies and media, so far the phone is ok.

actually u are wrong, the instinct beat it in talk time, less freezing, and because of sprints network, it runs faster that the iphone when web browsing, not to mention that sprint is about to launch 4g netwoork in july/aug. Im not bias att all, I work for att and sprint.
thats a good point.. this is only a feature phone, its not in any way syncable, (other than music and pics) the iphone and all the windows mobile devices are made for much more than looking pretty.

att coverage is more wider but there 3g isnt all that good i luckily i have 3g speeds in my neighborhood i also have evdo rev a speed (sprints 3g name) and sprints speed is faster by like 3-4 secs and no im not backing up sprint im just telling the truth and the bars are always full for 3g and instinct att may have more coverage but there speeds need improvement
YEAH WELL like you said in another comment its not the phone thats its the service unfortunatly for sprint sucks wher you live. IMO i think the iphone is better this phone is great dont get me wrong but thats all it is jusy a phone no new features all they did was keep all the same features of older phones and add a touchscreen. web browsing needs serious help and the touch screen sucks and is way too sensitive hopefully they fix the problems and make it better
The new iphone is basically the same as the 1st iphone with the exception of (very limited) 3G and GPS. Still no video recorder, no voice commands, no stereo bluetooth, no over the air music downloads (OTA) etc. The old iphone can run the same software as the new one.

All of these touch screen devices coming out are fooling everyone. These touch screen devices only have a touch surface, while the iPhone has a multi touch surface. Which is sort of like on the voyager it says "Touch to unlock" and the iphone is "Slide to unlock".
I played with one today, and its pretty sweet. Going to be a great consumer phone, business wise won't work because it won't sync with microsoft xchange server. Touch pad is very responsive and its based on touch, instead of iPhone's heat sensitive. So a stylus, or gloves can be used to use the phone.
Price def looks good as well, they're saying no more than 300. I wouldn't call it an iPhone killer, but it ranks up there.

Everyone's going toe to toe arguing about which is better and fans of Apple wont give this phone its credit and vice versa of the Instinct fans. They are two cool touch screen phones make your choice and move on. You don't have to talk down about either to show you like the one you chose/chosing.
I agree... but clearly the better phone is the Instinct. The only thing that the iPhone has on it is the bigger screen. The Instinct lets you watch live television, record video, download music not using wi-fi, etc.... the iPhone is a great phone no doubt. but the thing is the Instinct is better.

You need to get your facts straight, do you know how many Gigs it would take to put the full OSX on the iphone?... It's an optimized (stripped down)version. The full Mac OSX would need either an Intel processor or PPC core to run mac OSX on the iphone. The iphone is running on a Samsung Arm core processor. 'That's right' SAMSUNG!!! The OSX on the iphone uses 300Mb whereas the full mac OSX uses 3 times that. Look at your activity monitor on the mac and see how much ram is used by all processes.
Well I think you better go through training again, because had you known "this stuff" you would have known that mac's full OSX IS NOT on the iphone! Apple should have made the mobile equivalent to windows mobile instead of stripping down the Kernel Version of Darwin. I suspect that is why a lot of iphone users have been having problems with freezing and crashes.

Answer this question, if the iphone runs the same OS, why can't people who have the computer version reinstall from home if need be?? Stop fooling yourself the iphone is running a stripped down version. Just because you have a CD to reinstall the OS on the iphone doesn't mean it's Darwin in full version. The reinstall CD was specifically made for the iphone.

Actually, it DOESN'T have an accelerometer. It DOES use an innovative system where the camera (running in the background) will orient the phone accordingly. I got a chance to test this phone briefly and was able to use that feature to scroll while looking at a web page by simply tilting the phone. It was pretty sweet! Also, the haptic feedback which lets you "feel" the button presses with vibration right at the spot you touch is better than I would have thought. This is my next phone.

The keyboard is most effective in panoramic mode. The design for the instinct started at least 2 years ago, roughly the same as the iphone, if anything the Instinct is a chip off of LG Prada which the iphone copied.

No, wifi is not included, however, you wouldn't need it cuz EV-DO Rev A is very fast, and this speed is available everywhere. No longer you have to look for Wifi Hotspots.

att coverage is more wider but there 3g isnt all that good i luckily i have 3g speeds in my neighborhood i also have evdo rev a speed (sprints 3g name) and sprints speed is faster by like 3-4 secs and no im not backing up sprint im just telling the truth and the bars are always full for 3g and instinct att may have more coverage but there speeds need improvement

The new iphone is basically the same as the 1st iphone with the exception of (very limited) 3G and GPS. Still no video recorder, no voice commands, no stereo bluetooth, no over the air music downloads (OTA) etc. The old iphone can run the same software as the new one.

All of these touch screen devices coming out are fooling everyone. These touch screen devices only have a touch surface, while the iPhone has a multi touch surface. Which is sort of like on the voyager it says "Touch to unlock" and the iphone is "Slide to unlock".

I played with one today, and its pretty sweet. Going to be a great consumer phone, business wise won't work because it won't sync with microsoft xchange server. Touch pad is very responsive and its based on touch, instead of iPhone's heat sensitive. So a stylus, or gloves can be used to use the phone.
Price def looks good as well, they're saying no more than 300. I wouldn't call it an iPhone killer, but it ranks up there.

I agree... but clearly the better phone is the Instinct. The only thing that the iPhone has on it is the bigger screen. The Instinct lets you watch live television, record video, download music not using wi-fi, etc.... the iPhone is a great phone no doubt. but the thing is the Instinct is better.

You need to get your facts straight, do you know how many Gigs it would take to put the full OSX on the iphone?... It's an optimized (stripped down)version. The full Mac OSX would need either an Intel processor or PPC core to run mac OSX on the iphone. The iphone is running on a Samsung Arm core processor. 'That's right' SAMSUNG!!! The OSX on the iphone uses 300Mb whereas the full mac OSX uses 3 times that. Look at your activity monitor on the mac and see how much ram is used by all processes.

Well I think you better go through training again, because had you known "this stuff" you would have known that mac's full OSX IS NOT on the iphone! Apple should have made the mobile equivalent to windows mobile instead of stripping down the Kernel Version of Darwin. I suspect that is why a lot of iphone users have been having problems with freezing and crashes.

Answer this question, if the iphone runs the same OS, why can't people who have the computer version reinstall from home if need be?? Stop fooling yourself the iphone is running a stripped down version. Just because you have a CD to reinstall the OS on the iphone doesn't mean it's Darwin in full version. The reinstall CD was specifically made for the iphone.

Actually, it DOESN'T have an accelerometer. It DOES use an innovative system where the camera (running in the background) will orient the phone accordingly. I got a chance to test this phone briefly and was able to use that feature to scroll while looking at a web page by simply tilting the phone. It was pretty sweet! Also, the haptic feedback which lets you "feel" the button presses with vibration right at the spot you touch is better than I would have thought. This is my next phone.

To put it nicely, they did not rip off the iPhone but were inspired by its leadership in delivering a full browser on a handheld device. Give it some more time and you'll see other phone makers inspired to add features such as Chinese handwriting recognition and other multi-lingual support. No, wifi is not included, however, you wouldn't need it cuz EV-DO Rev A is very fast, and this speed is available everywhere. No longer you have to look for Wifi Hotspots.
