the original band was the best.. too bad it is all over. I have not bought a Danzig album since '94. They were really great back then. Danzig's albums were very polished but this live clip seems they never strayed too far from Samhain w/a little blues rock.. I never considered Danzig as heavy metal.
dude, awesome. this lineup was the best. i remember being blown away during this tour (especially this song), saw them at hammerjack's in baltimore way back when, and a few times after that.
I once used Chuck Biscuits' snare drum when he was playing for the Circle Jerks and one of the wire strands across the bottom broke and he cried and bitched like a 2 year old.
Wishy, I saw this same tour about 6 weeks later (on the East Coast). The venue they played was basically an enclosed pier, so the building was over the water, held up by stilts.. and Biscuits & the boys were rocking so hard that I thought the building was gonna collapse in the water.. This tour was promoting Danzig III, so they were at their peak, and for me, it was a tight experience.I also saw them in '99, pushing Danzig666, and they had faded some by then, I wish u had seen them in 92 too
@verbalmasturbator Aye that voice. No one comes near it. He does not sound like Elvis or Morrison. They sing in different octaves. They could never sing like this, they do not have the power Glenn has to deliver. greatest voice of all time.
Damn great memories there... that was the first show of the '92 Gods Kill tour, and my friends and i made it to something like 30 shows, starting that night.
Too bad the sound is so bad on these live videos. Great song. The lyrics are so incredible - how organized religion destroys spirituality so that if people are looking for anything real they are left godless until they find it.
I really, totally believe you. I can see the energy in the audience at his shows, just from the vids. I'm so sorry that I won't have a chance to catch him in concert!
BTW... Sacramento was the WORST crowd of the whole f'in tour (i made it to 20+ shows on "Gods Kill")... too many blasted preppies who just STOOD THERE! *L*
I'll say it too: CHUCK BISCUITS IS GOD!!!! If you can find DOA's Hardcore 81 you'll hear a 16 or 17 year old Chuck set the standard for 'punk rock' drumming that no one has surpassed.
Got to see 'em at a small club in garden Grove. Won tickets on KNAC, Chuck Biscuits stole the entire show!! One of the greatest experiences of my life.
Wats up with those amputated fingers from 4:37 - 4:43 ?????????LOL

I wish it was easier to hear his voice on the newer albums. The new songs are good but the mix really makes it hard to hear glenn.
brpadington 3 years ago
There is no mix on the camera. Probably way different sounding in person. Looks like an old show with an old personal camera too.

I myself was born in 88. I feel your pain. I mean, sure you can still see Danzig now...But not the same as it would have been back then.

Hell Yeah, I saw danzig in vegas and Marylin Manson opened for them. Talk about a kick ass concert!!!!
Danzig kicked ass, but I didn't see everything cuz the mosh pit was bumpin the whole concert. I never sweat so much in my life than that night.

Good ol Chuck ay always puts a smile on ya face when you see him start up that one man mosh pit behind the kit.

Danzig was along with Jane's Addiction, Alice In Chains, Soundgarden, Pantera & Exhorder one of the best bands in the late 80's & 90's!

Danzig sounds awesome live, I've seen him a few times. Its only poor sound because the amateur recording used a cheap camera/mic.

Nonsense... heck, they were just touring a couple of weeks ago, despite Glenn saying last year that he was tired of the road.
Worth going to see if you can get to tix.
