I survived the last four big floods of Lewis County, 1990, 1996, 2007, and 2009. The one thing we lost was a rug to the 2007 flood, while the road I live on lost about a foot of it's surface, from the water rushing over it. I feel sorry for those who lost everything, and fortunate, because we only lost one person in total, from each of these floods. May that person rest in peace.
Thank the loggers who have shaved off the slopes around Mt Rainier and Mt Adams over the last three decades. I was just up at Mowich in Sept, and the heros are shaving right to the park line. Its about time we built I-5 30 feet above water and just completely bypassed Bangladelia.
I dont know why the farmers and ranchers put up with their clearcutting neighbors, but I guess when you've been fooled into worrying about city libs instead of proper land use regulations, then this is what you get.
LOL they still havent fixed that hole in the road...pisses me off... haha...i live on south tower...and the water was only 20 feet away from my house so i was extremely lucky!!!
