It is NOT a gender issue. Taking this stance will not help solve the problem. Take it from someone who is unemployed because he couldn't stand being in a toxic environment created by a female administrator.
It is NOT a gender issue or a race issue. It's a people issue!
Great video! Thank you for posting. I have been the past victim of workplace bullies, from both women and male supervisors, and had quit jobs because of this. I definitely will, if I face a bully in a future work opportunity (currently I'm unemployed..sucks), I will look to confront him/her head on, as the lady recommends. The only critique I have about this is that especially now in this economy it's tough to just leave a job; if you have another one lined up, great, if you don't, well...
Very good video! Society and people in general need to get more educations and understanding of those topics, a lot of people their dreams and life been destroyed by uneducated harassments and constants bulling.
I agree completely, after going through an awful bullying, or mobbing experience, I was finally able to move away from the bully, who then went underground and started gossip and rumours which ultimately lead to losing my job. Statistics show that vast majority of targets, if they don't resign, are forced out one way or the other. At least leave with your dignity intact and create an exit plan, it just isn't worth it.
I hope there's a Filipino or Asian way to stop bullying. Filipinos in general are not the confrontational type. That even if you say it in a nice way that to stop because it's not right anymore, some would still consider it as an attack and they will still bully you and do it twice.
And since Asian are more patriarchal, men are most likely to succeed in bullying. Men are more competitive that they'll bully you more if you don't give in to their advances.
i'm so upset... my boss is such a bully. i'm his only worker he yells at me, cusses at me puts me down, wants me to put myself down all the time. He has impossible stardards. I cry all the time at work..
Take action against workplace bullying. Management will not solve this problem. They are the problem. Politicians and lawmakers have to take action. Canvas them. There are petitions available through the internet. Find live petitions against workplace bullying and sign them. Alternatively submit your own petition.
Manipulate the situation so that as many people as possible see the bitch in action. Then ignore her and kill her with kindness, guaranteeing that she will become more enraged and behave even worse. If you confront these losers, they cry crocodile tears and try to maneuver you. Plus, there's always an enabler, joined by the hip to this person, who sees everything but doesn't lift a finger to help you. And maybe your boss bends over backwards to get this person's cooperation and neglects you!
My rule of thumb is, if someone is paying that close attention to you to the point where they area bully then they don't have enough work to do themselves.
I left a job where I worked with a bully. The bully's boss was his drinking and golf buddy. When I got a new job the old boss dogged my review. I refused to sign my review. The CFO had to approve through HR my new boss to review my work. The end result...the old boss was demoted and the bully was written up. Fuck you Tim and John. ha! I won. You lost. I kept my cool and turned the tables on you both. See....plenty of education...and you got a new job. No more bullies. fuckers!!!!!
Get a new job, that's Tory's solution. Oh, and .mister bully don't speak to me that way, I'm a pro. Give me a break.
DO YOU WANT TO DEAL WITH A BULLY. I WILL TEACH YOU HOW. Believe me, there are ways of dealing with a bully. And it has nothing to do with is feel good about everyone culture that is so popular these days. If you want to put food on the table for your kids CONTACT ME.
Great video, thanks for posting, just gonna check out your channel, I believe these tactics are applied so much, that they're practically a part of work culture.

@amberfwn Me too. Female coworkers are the WORST, and I'm a female.

I tell them to calm down, now one likes that. You should see how pissed they get when you say that.

They should get back to work!

When i first started my job, my female coworker commented to me that 'it will be FUN having you around' and proceeded to throw a pen at my back.
She monopolised information, was unapproachable to question even though she would spend entire work days working on university related tasks.
She would refer to other staff members as retards, fucking idiots and fuckwits and CHEER in celebration when other employees where transferred.

You would think that if somebody is mature enough to be in the workplace that they would be mature enough to treat others with respect and dignity.

It works! If it is co-worker, pick the appropriate time and bring it to the surface and it will probably stop.
