  • I want to keep my Family healthy .

  • Google Health will be discontinued as a service.

The product will continue service through January 1, 2012.

After this date, you will no longer be able to view, enter or edit data stored in Google Health. You will be able to download the data you stored in Google Health, in a number of useful formats, through January 1, 2013.

  • First I was like: Hey that's cool. Then I was like:Wow this is useful. Then cousin walks in"You know google is out to lean all about you right?"......Then I was like: O.O

  • Fantastic

  • Love you googLe you help reshape the world 1 day at a time dictated but not read to my android

  • haha ya i do like it when men bite my nipples!

  • What malicious things can be done with this data? I can't think of much. People need to stop whining, your personal data is not so important that companies can use it against you. Privacy is dead; deal with it.

  • @Excruci0 I can think of numerous ways to abuse this data. But the real problem isn't that. The real problem is that it's too dangerous to let ONE single company (i.e. Google) handle ALL your vital information, including your documents, your business info, your geo location, your videos - and now your health info! Be cautious if it continues with GoogleFood, GoogleBanking, GoogleHealthInsurance, or other areas that are directly linked to your day to day survival.

  • @takger But if the company never abuses this data, what's the problem? The only problem with one company having all your data is if they delete your data. But you can backup most any data you have on Google. My Gmail emails, contacts, and calendar are synced with Outlook at all times. All my Google docs get downloaded every once in awhile. Google even lets you export your custom Google maps and Google Reader settings, which I do. The data is just as much mine as it is Google's.

  • @Excruci0 I don't know of any abuse that Google ever did, but it's no guarantee they never would or could. I own some mailing lists and there are strict regulations on data collection. Anyone who knows too much about you can abuse it. For example, if I know you made $1.5M last year (G could) and that you also had a secret love affair (G could), that could be the basis for blackmail. And that's just the very top of the iceberg.

  • @takger I would think it unlikely that blackmail would be the crime of choice for a corporation. I'm just as distrusting of corporations as anyone, but the kind of crimes they commit are profit-motivated and only borderline-illegal, exploiting some loophole that they can defend in court. Blackmail sounds too illegal for a corporation. Blackmail is the kind of thing cybercriminals do for profit, such as scareware or ransomware. But Google? That would likely be very bad for their business.

  • @Excruci0 I didn't say they would do it, it's just one of the vast pool of possibilities a company could do with all your data. "Sounds too illegal" - have you seen The Firm? But the real danger is NOT what they could do to you and me. Imagine one day you couldn't live without G. No one could bypass G, including politicians, media, churches, scientists etc. What would you call this? Tyranny perhaps? They REAL intentions will be known only THEN, whether good or bad. But it might be just too late.

  • @takger I'm all about checks and balances, and would therefore oppose Google having too much power. But I believe the solution to that are regulations preventing monopolies, which we already have in the US to some degree. And Google doesn't have a monopoly yet; they're not the only search engine, mail client, map service, etc. They don't even dominate some markets, such as email (Hotmail is in the lead). I actually think the US is not strict enough on monopolies. We'll have to wait and see.

  • Hm, I don't know what to think of this...

Welp, let's just say... I disagree with both the points of view.

  • Say what you will, but willingly putting your health information where anyone except your physician and family can access it is dumb. Really dumb.

  • >3 days later all my ad banners on hotmail try to sell me drugs and fantasy medical stuff

  • damn it i could be working for google doing cartoons...

  • I have a doctor for a reason google. One call and I can have all the info I need.

  • @monica24b yeah.. and after your doctor see this, s/he probably use this apps as well

  • @neoxavier I highly doubt it. Where I'm from, we have confidentiality laws. Do some research.

  • @monica24b is the confidentiality laws prevent doctor to use this software? I believe the confidentiality laws prevent doctor to share information about patient not about using certain software or tools to store patient data.

  • @neoxavier Well obviously, anyway if that's what you meant to begin with that still sounds ridiculous.

  • why is google so nosy?

  • @monica24b so is the doctor, but you still visit him

  • @comandertomas my doctor has a reason, google doesn't.

  • Google collect the info you put to help you, not kill you. Crazy delusional bastards

  • omg this is the most retarded example for use of that application.only way this makes sense is that the parents are devorced i mean really google are really dumb sometimes

  • wonder when google will make a videogame console

  • this is insane..

  • I don't like this...

  • vaccines are poison! why doesnt google tell you that

  • @trampbiker how? they give you a small dose of the disease, so you can recover quickly and not get it later

  • @fullboxxskater search this in youtube: Vaccine Death Coverup Implodes Worldwide

  • oh google you so creppy

  • People only need this in America, I guess. Cause there'd be no reason to use this in The Netherlands. lol.

  • @CPnieuws Dit is inderdaad typisch Amerikaans. Zo iets belachelijks zouden wij nooit verzinnen. :I

  • Who needs that? My parents used to talk to each other so they knew whats up with me. An application like that is only a proof of family disintegration to me .

  • @dummerbube exactly..eventually someone with the understanding what is wrong with this service. There are many other useful google products, but this one...definitly not. I got your back dude

  • @SickBang Thank you for the agreement and support. I was already doubting in myself and that maybe I am just to conservative.

  • yes, your childs medical issues are valuable to Google advertisers. Hand them over. Don't worry, the happy music and kind female voice should make you feel better.

  • This has sooooo many implications!!!

  • @gramosjr7 If the son of god is dead then maybe god is not so immortal either. eh?

  • Hey TheLegendarySkeptic,

Just to show the predictability of your next reply, You'll just come back with a sue-do atomically small minded I.E.. Closed minded Reply just like you do to every one else.

Well your transparency only shows your ignorance & how badly you need to slam others to Validate your own personal lack of self esteem . In other words for you in Lay-mans terms. don't slam everyone else to make you feel better about you, Just Learn Self Esteem. Takes a open Mind try it

  • @wlh1690 First of all, thank you for reading all of my posts. It's nice to know someone is stalking my posts. But your comments don't hold water. Allow me to show how your 'prediction' failed simply by saying this: You attacked me rather than address my comments, which is a logical fallacy. Still, what does philosophy have to do with any of this? Also, at no point did I insult anyone, so you're just pulling things out of your ass. And I don't think I'm smarter than anyone either.

  • @wlh1690 I've met my match? Lol. Okay. My self -esteem is just fine, and I don't need anyone to validate anything. I still don't don't know what any of that has to do with what I said. But The logical fallacies keep pouring in. Very nice.

    By the way, what's ' su-do '?

And you're telling me to 'open my mind'? How Ironic.

  • I have read a lot of your posts 'TheLegendarySkeptic' and I must say, Paranoia is absolute awareness so as Skeptic is a person who closes their minds and sticks with their Hang ups and let me tell you, even the deepest minds in philosophy said that if you think you know everything than you know nothing, but you just proved that Universal intellectual Law....

You think your smart but you have met your match, actually your a Closed box so for me that is no match at all, Open your mind

  • Identity Theft waiting to happen.

  • One more thing Google will know about your life...

  • @ChoPiGu stfu dumb ass hippie

  • People!

Isn't it scary that Google knows EVERYTHING and ANYTHING about you?

They know what you like and what you search for, they can know where ur at with the Google agenda or Google earth on ur phone they can know which road you take to your school or work with streetview. They're even working on a car that can drive to a place out of itself, so without controlling the car. And now this. If Google falls in the wrong hands The world Will change into a Soviet like place where is NO privacy.. Ev

  • @HoumaneNL Yea dude.. that's why I try to keep my data far away from internet.. No real profiles, no names, no failbook.. I don't wanna people putting my name on web and knowing a lot of stuff about me.. Really scary...

  • no thanks

  • Why Google channel doesn't put links to the products in the description box when they are talking about them ?!!!

  • Google is officially BIG BROTHER.

  • oh my gosh Google can't to this... those kind of informations are private, who tell me that Google doesn't see anything?

  • @yacumanajiri The next will be Google Love, where you can keep all your love affairs, with exact dates, how you met, what sexual relations you had, did you use protection, and how the relationship ended. In case you forget it, you can always look it up. And you can share it with your friends&lovers, so you don't have to tell your past over and over again. love.google.com

  • Is it just my impression, but doesn't this sound stupid...

  • its too much work

  • Google TAX - Pay taxes with Google

  • This is going too far..

  • Coming up next month - GOOGLE Bathroom, Keep an online record of your bowel movements and how well you are maintaining your personal hygiene.

  • Okay. If Google wants to have all of our MEDICAL RECORDS, then it's time for Google to start publishing a more rigorous PRIVACY POLICY.

The problem is not whether "third parties" are going to have access to the most intimate information about our lives. The question is whether GOOGLE is going to have access to it.

You have to start building a Chinese wall between the Google corporation and our data so that YOU can't misuse it.

  • @ReliableInsider You don't have to give Google your medical records in the first place, this is a totally optional service, you know.

  • @frxstrem

You honestly don't understand my point?

It would be nice if Google were an optional service. They have a ton of information on everyone. It will actually take them a great deal of work to develop the ability to delete all of the information that they have on you if you request them to.

Is Google technologically able to delete or to hide from itself all of the information it has on a given person? Can God make a stone so large that God can't lift it?

    We don't know.

  • @ReliableInsider I do understand you point, I just pointed out that you do not have to use it. If Google's information collecting is such an issue for you, there are tons of other alternatives to nearly every single Google product that you can use instead...

  • Which parents in their right minds would prefer keeping a check on their child's health online instead of discussing it face to face? Ridiculous.

  • WTF? DUDE.. WTF??!!.....

  • don't be evil google...

do whatever you want to, but stay the fuck out of our PRIVACY !!!

this is completely ridiculous, how would somebody use this shit?

it's just google's appetite for more information. this is completely getting too personal...

    what comes next?

  • become vegan or raw foodist and you wont need any medicine!!!

  • Like its not enough for Google to know about your location, and a lot of other stuff.. go ahead give them access to a personally updated health record!

  • This is crap

  • There are a lot of companies that have ventured to different industries especially in technology. This is not something new or unheard of. Siemens is also one of the big companies that basically is everywhere. You also have Honda - cars, lawn mowers, robotics). G.E. also is everywhere (healthcare, lightbulbs, refrigerators).

And if you guys think google is invading your privacy, think about the employees have access to sensitive medical information that works for an IPA, medical group, etc...

  • This is how google makes sure to display the right Medicine ADS when you're looking at websites.

No more viagra ads, now google will show ads from medicine that treats all of your recorded allergies in google health.

Google Needs to learn more about your weaknesses thats how they get stronger! D:

  • great!

  • Skynet... 'nuff said.

  • Google is becoming everything.

  • Electronic health records... our doctor's office has EHR that came with their hospital software, so patients can access the doctor's information about them. Interesting that Google is getting into personal electronic health records. Make a good password.

  • lmao you idiots leaving comments about privacy invasion.

just don't use Google, and if you can't get away from Google gtfo the internet.

  • "Don't be evil." says Google, as they constantly find new and exciting ways to invade your privacy.

  • @badasschickendude Lmao, your a idiot.

Don't use YouTube is your crying about them invading your privacy.

  • @UnrealNate ...why are you calling me an idiot? this is quite obviously an invasion of privacy haha, whether you like it or not. :)

I love google, and almost everything they do. But this video was slightly scary, even to the point where I wouldn't be surprised if it was posted by a comedian taking a stab at google.

I don't see how using youtube is affecting my privacy btw. But privacy isn't exactly my biggest concern, since my full name is all over the internet because I am a musician.

  • So THIS is their plan for world domination... they're going to clone everyone and create a massive army!

  • will they update Google health every time they get a medical malpractice?

  • WOW, GOOGLE is getting into everything!

  • This is similar to the Unified Health Datacenter that the State of São Paulo has. However the UHD isn't stored online and can only be accessed by a doctor with the easement and passcode that the patient gives... The informations added by the doctos are under a number, not the person's name. Although I might find it a good idea, keeping things THAT personal online on a easily breakable account isn't something people should do.

  • google please revolutionize EVERYTHING that has to do with form filling

  • I think I will sign up and submit nausea as my major symptom.

  • no way i will share medical informations of me ore my famaly with google!

  • all we need is the hospital/drug store to have access to it better instead of us printing a paper

  • I like the idea, but I can't help but being a little squirmish about it. I mean, do you really want this kind of data to be online? Traditionally when you use Google the only thing at stake is images, videos and blog entries, this is your (kids) health we're talking about. I don't really trust Google enough to hand over information that is -this- personal.

  • @free2question kajajjja a mierda hablavas español chupa pingas ;)

  • Now this just has to work across all healthcare-provider platforms. My HMO is up to ~about~ 1991 standards. The firewalling is superb, but it's aggressively user-hostile.

  • Google... Have I ever told you that I love you?

  • I use it for recording my kid's health and I would say Google Health has a lot of limitations and imperfections. It's more like a fancy pilot project but not for real use.

  • @scuz55 I agree, like I haven't been to the hospital in over 10 years, plus if people ate healthier many problems could be avoided

  • This is scarily cute

  • Dont know hos I feeling with Google using these data for analyzis....

  • @sebbaomg im fine with that but i keep forgetting to put my tin hat on, i know the aliens are reading our minds

  • Dont ljos h

  • It's OK, but did they really study health or have doctors in their HQ while making this?

  • @therandomawsome for what ? is a excel sheet only adjusted for health

  • the google takeover :)

  • Google will save someday my life... i know

  • Google - screwing up your health, literally.

  • cant wait till the most thumbed up comment with a hilarious comment appears:)

  • Why I feel like Google will soon start making toilet paper or something? And they will post animated video on YouTube about how Google Paper will completely change your toilet experience... :D

  • Google's getting closer to world domination. :S

  • Who names their child Geraldine? :(

  • @TacticOgre Camilo... :-)

  • OMG SPEEDSTACKS AT 1:07 :D Usually I get like this when I c rubik's cubes...

  • isn't this called your Canadian health card?

  • Now Google's worth an extra 30 million.

  • google is bringing a lot of bullshit services recently. that's nothing new and nothing innovative. also it's not that usful. You want to write a health report...go and grab a fuckin piece of paper. it's just for google to get even more information about you. only people who really care about your health should know that.

  • @SickBang so Google is going to go and read millions of health reports and exploit them. No the are a muti-billion dollar company, and something that stupid would get them broke. This is for your convenience and it is just an easy way to keep track of your health and medical needs

  • @digislayer139 google is a might search engine. you don't think they can filter informations they need and sell it to people without you knowing it? It's a daylight for insurence companys. The point is it's not even useful. Usually you don't share your personal health with to many people. The once, which care will know anyway because they have real word contact. I'm using google products to like youtube, but those health informations are way to personal. Think about it!

  • @SickBang If a billion people start using this, explain how Google would be able to go through everyone's each and every health report, and explain why Google would want to read the countless reports about how they got herpes because they screwed the wrong hooker down the street.

  • @SickBang "It's just for google to get even more information about you"

    You're paranoid.

  • @TheLegendarySkeptic Health is a very personal issue! I'm not sure you have the understanding of the importance of privacy. I'm all for the share of information like knowledge (wikipedia) or the share of what government does (wikileaks), but I'm totally against spreading around personal data! I don't no what google is doing, but the fact n the matter is you shouldn't give to many information about yourself in the net to anyone. look @ all the personal embarassing facebook storys. start to think!

  • @SickBang Right, right. Because Google, a multi-billion dollar company, would select you (out of billions of people) and conspire to maliciously exploit your personal data. Or maybe they would be interested in embarrassing you on Facebook since, you know, that's what companies like Google do: they gather around a table with a crystal ball in a dark room and conspire to take over the world.

Like I said, paranoid delusions. Calm down.

  • @TheLegendarySkeptic ...or maybe someone could find YOUR personal information and use your identity to get a check up since they can't get health because of a "pre-existing condition". Now, when YOU go for YOUR check-up, your file shows you have a "pre-existing condition" and are uninsurable because someone with AIDS stole your identity. Minor details!!!

FYI: Health Identity theft is one of the fastest growing forms of ID Theft today.

  • @Kevbox2008 What does that have to do with my previous comment? I responded to someone who thinks Google is after personal data. Yes, someone could find your personal information and use your identity. There's very little you can do to stop a hacker from breaking into your PC, even with the best security software. Burglars can bypass locks and alarms just as easily. There are an number of ways thieves steal your identity, not just online - simply by checking into a hospital or medical facility.

  • @Kevbox2008 But if people were so paranoid, they wouldn't be using credit cards on Amazon/other sites, gas stations, restaurants, e t fucking c..

  • @TheLegendarySkeptic Two things to understand: 1) Though we probably won't agree on much, I agree with you regarding the restaurants, etc. People think their information is safe so long as it's in their pockets. They don't understand it's not safe. They're stupid. I get that. I've known that for years.

    2) This just helps the ID Thief by giving him/her yet another "outlet" by which he/she can gain one's personal information. Now, the nervous people are more nervous.

  • @TheLegendarySkeptic Your arguments are ridiculous! Since you are not cabable or willling to think for yourself, I tell you some cases.

    1. Google is a big company with many people working there

    - is it possiblee that someone in the company misuse the data for personal reason? e.g. for revenge, for hateress against somebody, for political interest n on n on

    2. it doesn't matter how secure you think they are. Information can always get in wrong hands. those hackers can gain and sell your data.

  • @TheLegendarySkeptic Omg, your one of them!!!! GUYS DONT LISTEN TO HIM! :O ;p jkjk

All this NWO n Illuminati shit is silly..pff

  • This is scary.
