If Mike Huckabee and Ron Paul combined win 58% of the remaining delegates they will have to have a brokered convention. Pauls good for about 4% so huck will need 54%.

All the top drawer Republican consultants think Charlton Heston should be chosen as McCain's VP because he'd firm up support among the consevative crowd and when out on the campaign trail together, he'd make McCain look like a spring chicken. Another big plus, on the Straight Talk Express, Charlton and John would never get bored because they both love war and they could talk about starting their new war in Iran.

Mitt's fall isn't about his record or his gaffes or his career; it's about the fact that he happens to be a Mormon. Republicans have fallen behind less consistent, less capable, and less intelligent candidates. They simply can't swallow the idea of a Mormon leading their party. They made the right decision for the wrong reasons, in my opinion. It's the unspoken cause of Romney's failure.
