  • If scotland was independent then they would have to start all over again 'cause the brits would take everything they have built in Scotland So.......

  • where did you get the overvoice of AS?

  • If the UK disintegrates the next one will be Spain!

  • @Rotebuehl1 Not really, Scotland & Spain are two completely different situations. Scotland is a COUNTRY that was joined in a parlimentary union with England. Spain is ONE country with a REGION that wants it's independence. Even the Spanish foreign minister has said as much.

  • @mouseyhousewife Well, if you find the possibility to go to Spain and talk to people in the streets or even some better lettered, you will find out, that Spain is not at all a country, but merely a state that, like the UK, "glued" the countries of Spain! What you called region (Catalonia?) is, in fact, one of the Iberian Nations! The Spanish foreign minister is a reprentative of the central power of Madrid! Hu must say such things! Still it's not true what he said

  • As long as the Scots are also independent of the English taxes, no more free medication, education. I give them five years before they come begging!

  • @DAZZLEPHIL you may have noticed of the 54 nation that have taken independence none have ever requested to return, only one wanted money from you Zimbabwe, and English generosity was obvious the got nothing... and you think we would ask England? the trouble with asshole you believe your own bullsh*t.

  • so where the fuck do i renew my passport their is no consulates

    suppose the pakies win again

  • We need independents again, we need FREEDOM again! Scotland will rise!

We will stand our own grounds! We dont need any English Soilders to fight with us or to help us we can make and create our own armys and make our country Strong!

Vote "YES" To Indepndednt Scotland, thing about it no more English telling us what we can do and what we cant do!

  • @anson2k10 You could build an army with the 1/4 WIND resources you have? SNP are all wind.

  • Scotland for aye! A referendum is coming and the people will speak this time, unlike the last time when the Act of Union was forced on them - and also, incidentally, on the comon people of England.

Scotland will become a sovereign, independent state once again.

  • @TaAnonify a little irked are we? lol

Read the post slowly and carefully..... it says LIKE the BNP, not that the SNP ARE the BNP. But you dont like black people, judging by the video!

  • vote no to independence

  • Comment removed

  • lol not may 'darkies' in this nationalist video! Bit like the BNP!

  • "skilled and independent people"- who think of many ways to claim dole lol

  • scots will vote for 'devo-max' while remaining in the uk

  • will scotland no own the oil in the north sea, hold on,the water in the glens, maybe time to say ta ta to bankrupt england

  • It is an absolute dump by anybody's standards. Looking at the video was very amusing. England could be a really great country without Scotland I've been to England and I've been to Scotland. Some of England is just nasty but it is such a beautiful country outside of the city's and the people are much better. I hated Scotland what a shit hole!

  • Scottish Independence will make Scotland poorer UK spend more money on Scotland then Scotland makes, and with only 5 million population it will not be seen on the world map.

    Say together gain together.

im Scottish, i don't want Scotland to be Independence but more power would be good.

    Vote NO

  • I can't understand why people can't be just a little bit optimistic about their own country... Give yourself a smile, and be proud of where you were fucking born. Scotland.

  • This referendum may come a little too fast for scots, theres still a lot of traditional folk still alive sadly! If Scotland vote no the first time round, i'm sure we'll say yes the second time!

  • @ShRiNkInGMuShRoOmS there wont be second time,it`s a once only deal ,none of this constant doing it until you get the answer you want, sorry.

  • @bazzatheblue In democratic countries as opinion changes the peoples needs need to be met. As long as their is a mandate for independence then referenda will be held. Unionist also seem to be dictators nowadays, when did right wing become fascist un-democratic scaremongerers?

  • @ShRiNkInGMuShRoOmS to some degree yes,but there must be a line drawn as the instability created by these things is ruinous.I live in England, that part of England is East Anglia,it was kingdom once,an independent state,do i get a vote on Anglian separation? This island is small, whats the point, but then again if a country like Montenegro can exist then who knows.

  • @bazzatheblue If their is a serious cause for Anglican independence then yes, a vote would be held. The thing is, Scottish independence has been an ongoing struggle for hundreds of years. Just 13 years ago, Scotland got it's own parliament. My dad thought he would never see it in his life, many thought likewise. But it happened. Scottish independence is a war without arms, a war that will one day be won by freedom, justice and equality. The union is dying.

  • @ShRiNkInGMuShRoOmS we shall clearly see at some point young mushroom.i will be glad when its all over so we know where we all stand, because effectively Scots independence forces us to become independent. The sooner the ballot is done the better IMO then we can all get on.

  • 2014...vote yes and we will be free again!

  • @TheComradeRoss With a £140bn debt and the euro currency, nice one...

  • @distantkilljoy We would take our share of that debt and pay it of easily, Scotland would be a very rich nation on its own and that has been admitted in Westminster. We would keep the sterling seen as we are "entitled to it" until the Scots vote for what currency we want, True democracy, so keep up with what been happening mate.

  • first minister, make it a yes or no question on the ballot paper,no 3rd option of 'devo max'.trust the people.alba gu brath.

  • @here882 Also Scotland would remain a member of the commonwealth (Alex Salmond has said this many times). This would mean we would still celebrate our shared heritage and remember those who gave their lives in the war for our freedom on remembrance day. We would simply have a new relationship as equal, independent, friendly nations rather than the confused set up we have today.

  • @neredis1 what rot, salmond wants a republic asap,he loathes England and can barely conceal it,the smarmy ,oily sod.Scotland will also have to join the euro, good luck with that..

  • @here882 Asking questions is a great thing. Its been SNP policy for a long time that anyone living in Scotland when independence comes would automatically get Scottish citizenship. SNP policy is EU - yes, UN - yes, NATO - no. However saying that these decisions will be up to the first elected government of an independent Scotland which may not nesisarily be the SNP. It is also possible further referendums could well be had on these issues.

  • gives me goose bumps

  • @LewisAndersonFilms Took the words out my mouth... Makes me so proud to be Scottish... Say YES to Independence

  • @SCOAlba That new poll has come out too! Good results for Independence :) when the referendum happens in 3-4 years , I'll be 18. I'M voting YES...

  • @LewisAndersonFilms im 18 next year.. so i will be voting YES also.. keep believing buddy

  • @SCOAlba I think ive spoke to you before on a different video haha.. Yes ill be 18 next year.. so ill be voting YES !

  • @beverage2008

No, it's Westminsters fault. The English are being taken for a ride too sadly. Why do you think so many of them think they are subsidising Scotland, Wales etc? They have been lied to as well. I hope they wake up like the Scots and realise they're being had by a clique of rich, elite eton-oxbridge spawn who care only about power and how fat their wallet is. Here's to a future as independent nations and friends. Britain is toast.

  • Come on my brothers. If Scotland was an independent country, we wouldn't be a puppet of America, and we wouldn't be in wars (Afghanistan & Iraq etc). Scotland would be a neutral country (Ireland & Finland etc). Scotland's economy can be majorly improve if independent. OIL would remain in Scottish seas to probably 2040. Not running out anytime soon! And Alex Salmond is the best leader for an independent Scotland. Come on Scots! More good things being independent, rather than the union. VOTE YES!

  • Scottish Independece: YES!!!!!!!!

    2015 can't come sooner.

  • @TheScottishRocker

If Scotland is such a great place, why do Scotland's poor have the lowest life expectancy in the entire industrilzed world?

  • @pluto4847

Well for a start we're 20th on the list of countries by life expectancy. Secondly, with stuff like "Anti Scottish" on your profile, you seem like a bigot who's just looking for digs in at my country.

  • As an American I salute Scotland (the land where my family came from), wish her well and pray for its independence. I would like to point out one thing though. Your Nabors tried that once and look what happened to them. Best of luck and gods speed on this issue.

  • @wcshearon1

You are a Turn Coat Benedict Arnold. Are you aware that Scots justice secretary released a Libyan terrorist on compassionate grounds--the man who killed over 200 Americans on a PAN AM Flight 103. How can you applaud the Scots after what they did to the victims of the LOckerbie Tragedy?

  • @pluto4847 To: pluto4847

First, I put a lot of time in how to respond to your attack on my character. Might I point out that you do not know me and yet you are quick to label me a trader. I served 6 years in the USN. Have you served your country? What country are you from? Notice that I try to understand you by asking you questions and getting to know you before I fly off and start accusing you of being a trader.

  • @pluto4847 I do applaud the Scotts and wish them the best; the people. You see you cannot blame the Scottish Government because THEY HAVE NEVER HAD ONE! The government that was standing watch on that knight was the U.K. and they dropped the ball! Had the UK wished to stop this do not tell me that they could not have. I know damn well that they could. They just did not really care and nor did the USA Government because they could have also and did not.

  • If you do not like my opinion, well that’s your right but don’t you dear bring in to question my patriotism you pace of *%&^ without ever giving me the decency of have gotten to know me or even try to understand me!

  • As an Irishman resident in Scotland's North East - a brilliant Video, but you've got a fight on your hands if you think the final shots are of Scottish territorial waters - you'll find the English have grabbed half the North Sea oilfields... due NE from Berwick.

  • @desbrine We will win the fight mate nae fear.

  • Absolutely fantastic video 1scot. What's the music?

  • When I get there i'm NOT eating haggis.

  • Favorites

  • It's unbelieveable - the SNP got over half of the seats in the RELATIVELY PROPORTINAL (unlike WESTMINSTER) VOTING SYSTEM - as they say this should be almost impossible - hm.

It's as if the unionist parties (ie the big three) are missing something, maybe a drive, and the SNP has that drive, whether people equate it with independence or not, is anyone's guess, remember most of the wee parties are also pro-independence but tend to get nowhere (greens, socialist, etc)

  • go on the scots fuck the english, from the irish

  • @libertycaps666 Yes because the Irish are doing really well? Not! Idiot!

  • @DAZZLEPHIL well considering for 800 years of our history we were oppressed by you brit dickheads in comprasion id say were doing fucking great right now, there may not be that much jobs goin in ireland right now but or economy will bounce back, and england aint doing so well ether mate look at the london riots sure a huge number of your population is living in poverty in council estates at least in my country there isnt such a massive divide between classes, tiocfaidh ar la ya cunt

  • @libertycaps666 Oppressed for 800 years???? When? Where? How? Give me data and historical facts! It was only in 1707 that the parliament became one single parliament in Westminster! That was corrected already! Scotland was invaded several times by England, but NEVER conquered and always stayed free! And it were the Scottish Stuart kings who ascended the English throne in 1603, not the other way around! Scotland kept own laws, own money, own central bank, a.s.o.

    800 years oppression? Where?

  • @Rotebuehl1 eh yeah im talking about ireland mate..

  • @libertycaps666

Oops! Sorry for that! I just reacted that way because this talk about 800 years of English oppression is taking place in Scotland too, claiming that Scotland was "conquered" by England in 1296 and has been struggling for independence ever since! Disinformation and ignorance are weapons in this debate! Don't take me as a fierce opponent of independence! But I'm an opponent of fallacies! I didn't mean to offend anyone and sorry for my "misreaction"! God bless ;-)

  • @Rotebuehl1

I can see your point about 800 years of oppression. Basically, Scotland lived with the threat of being invaded for hundreds of years, that in itself is a form of oppression. Scottish history has been distorted and told from an English perspective for many years now. For example, how much of Scottish history did you get in School? Scottish history, until now, was not ever part of the Scottish curriculum. Bizarrely, English history has been. There are reasons for that, its no accident

  • @1scot4scotland You're right about what you say about the history curriculum in Scotland. It IS bizarre that it was solely or mostly English history that was taught in Scottish schools up until now. The British state did the same thing in Northern Ireland - only British (mostly English history) was taught. These things are no accident and it's amazing that they go on for so long.

  • @Rotebuehl1

    Continued...

I don't hold a grievance for the past because I'm a supporter of Scottish independence and typically that means I look to the future. What was done is done, its now time for change. Scottish Independence will, paradoxically, bring us all closer together.

When Westminster politicians say we are stronger together "we" actually means them. They are stronger and more powerful because of the political union, I want a stronger Scotland and that's why I support Indy.

  • @1scot4scotland I don't hold a grievance for the past because I'm a supporter of Scottish independence and typically that means I look to the future

    .

    .

That made me laugh because on here every Scottish independence support seems to do exactly the opposite haha

  • SCOTLANDS INDEPENDENCE IS A GOOD THING ... WEE HAVE EVERYTHING THE WATER THE LOT .. N WHEN WEE NEED SOME BK FROM LONDON WEE NEED TO PAY FUR IT ... COME ON SCOTLAND TIME FUR INDEPENDENCE .... LIKE THIS COMMENT IF YOU AGREE WITH ME !!

  • great video, well done scotland, time for the final push now, roll on 2014

    saorsa

  • The SNP are a MAJORITY government in the Scottish Parliament !

    It's time for INDEPENDENCE !

    ' Aye we can '

  • @glasgow1234 Can't believe your city turned in 5 out of 9 constituencies to the SNP! WELL DONE!!!! Glasgow has just risen in my estimation...

  • @19alba87 Not all of us in Glasgow are brainwashed bigots want to keep the Union because of Rangers and want us all to be Irish because of Celtic.

I am a proud Glaswegian who is proud to be Scottish and Scottish only.

    'Aye' For INDEPENDENCE !

  • @glasgow1234 Well said mate! As a Glaswegian Celtic season ticket holder I believe the Britishness at Ibrox and the Irishness at Celtic park are holding us back.

Not because of the clubs, both are proud of what they are, Celtic a Scottish club with proud Irish rOOts! That's great! But some of the fans that have probably never been to Ireland nevermind have any Irish blOOd are holding us Scots back. Same with the guys at Ibrox that fly the union flag only because the guy next to him does.

  • @albabhoy81 What you say is very true m8.

  • @glasgow1234 Aye, I ken, just didn't think Glasgow was ever going to change - you know what they say about Glasgow and monkeys etc. Anyway I like Glasgow always have, just more now ;)

  • @19alba87 Glasgow really pissed me off in the past but not last week!

  • @97kcoats Where are you? LOL, have you gone in hiding?

  • @cameranzo1 haha - Let's hope he doesn't come back!!

  • Scottish...not British

  • I like the "This Is Scotland: Your Guide To Our Independence " video. The SNP could be about to be returned for a historical 2nd term and if the polls are to believed then the much anticipated referendum on independence could become a reality. What's more historical (or should that be "hysterical?") is the failure that is Iain Gray!!

  • BBC Scotland's leaders debate shown earlier tonight.Alex salmond wone hands down.More applause's than all the other partys put together. Now thats what i call An *Affective S.N.P Government *Bring on May 5th

  • @paul24111 Indeed Salmond came out trumps yet again. All the party leaders, plus Tavish...preformed better than in the first debate but Salmond was more statesmanship than his counterparts and was able to command the respect of the audience. When Salmond attacked Iain Gray the roof came off, when Gray attacked Salmond the roof caved-in,..in on Gray!! :)

  • @MrScotia WOOHOO!

But I cant help but worry a lot of peoples' perceptions are based on Salmond v Gray's competence/personality, NOT so much on policies like independence, I just hope the SNP can sustain support if times become difficult in the future as politicians change, or if a referendum returns a 'no' (God forbid, what a nation of fools we'd be if that happened - and the laughing stock of the world)

I do think that the independence goal provides a drive & competence that unionists lack.

  • @MrScotia Bottom line - I think the SNP should demonstrate that it's not just Alex Salmond (and Sturgeon, who I think is great by the way), there are many, many more efficient, competent, HONEST, SNP MSPs now & please start let's seeing them as well otherwise a lot of people will still be suspicious of the one-man type band where you see Salmond and Salmond alone - definitely keep up his appearances loads but let's see more of the others!!! But NOT if they have personalities like the Millibands.

  • independence is the normal status of 99.99 percent of countries in the wurld and scotland should be no different.

  • VOTE SNP!!!

  • I met Alex in person, he's an amazing feller. On May 5th, I'll be waking up early in the morning and proudly vote SNP for a better Scotland.

  • MON THE SCOTS!

    Celtic Nations united

The UK will be better off when all said nations have full control over themselves, we are stronger in our diversity as a family and military then completely united.

Just like the EU....no such thing is needed in our times and its only used as an excuse as they replace our indigenious peoples with foreign colonisation.

Its the only thing that will save out ethnic peoples and culture from complete annihilation, were already minorities in the world!

  • Saorsa! Alba Gu Brath!

  • Good vídeo, Catalonia and Scotland, two nations, one future of freedom.

  • Simply terrific. w.d.

  • love the video and the vision! Saor alba

  • @1scot4scotland Theres one problem. At the end of this video it says "the end" but no, its never the end for scottish independence, it lives on in the fight, and when it happens, the history...

  • this is a beautiful land here

  • FREEDOM!

  • May Scotland be independant I wish you luck

Love for freedom from Lithuania :)

  • Great video and Great comments by 'Englandindependence'. Lets us free ourselves from the Myth of a Poor Subsidised Scotland, Lets get rid of the Status Quo.

  • What a fantastic video.

  • The call for independence is louder than ever...

  • You always impress me 1scot4scotland

  • Two weeks today you will have a possible pro-independence coalition. I reall hope that you get your independence from us, because we are neighbours, not the same country.

  • @EnglandIndependence Not even a coalition!!! A majority!!! The voting system in Scotland, Wales etc was designed to make it very difficult to get a majority!! Since it's much more proportional than the Westminster system!!! So to get over half of the seats!!! Quite a feat! However I feel people are still embarassed to bring up independence or show support for it at least people I know are. Lol.

  • @EnglandIndependence I aggree with you my freind you are right in what you say, good luck to you and england.
