  • the most sweet part of this piano concert are the big changes it has... is like they're dancing while they're playing... so magnific!!!!!!!! so so so so so magnific!

  • 0:13-0:17

  • 條女幾正!

  • i love this piece by ravel :D... so fun and a bit mischievous >:)...

  • This is such a fun piece :)

  • I wish the Berliner Philharmoniker would invite Sokfhiev to come back and perform with them, he is such a great conductor! :)

  • @danielhoganmusic

    i totally agree :D

  • Helene Grimaud is an amazing pianist. I love watching people play & playing pieces myself that are fun & look like you aren't playing at all but just "playing around" with the keyboard. Very fun!!

  • I really enjoy the tempo taken of this movement. Martha Argerich is a fabulous pianist and is absolutely amazing but I always feel that this movement is always rushed and too fast when she performs it. And in this recording the whole orchestra seems to be together for ALL OF THE MOVEMENT, which many orchestras have trouble with.

  • Nice. It would be interesting to know what he was thinking about when he wrote this piece of music. I like the little glisses in the trombone.

  • Hélène Grimaud reminds me of Hilary Hahn.

  • @stradgirl You have to be kidding.

  • argerich's is more powerfull... IMHO...

  • This is an emotionally packed movement that races with appeal and urgency from something to something that only the imagination or a Disney cartoon can provide. I prefer imagination and follow it with the satisfaction of finding solace and security in quiet beauty and love. There are so many to chose from to complete the trip.

  • Superb technique..

  • @aramian21 think so. they spammed ur comment

  • I agree with Haeronthegreat's comment. It is lacking in fizz and that jazzy, bouncy feeling. To me it sounds almost as if they were ticking off a checklist of effects to be reproduced. As the Duke said ... it dont mean a thing if it aint got that swing.

  • You only needed one more minute for the whole movement!!!! This makes me sad :(

  • @unitednerdsbeproud You can even watch the complete performance in our Digital Concert Hall. We look forward to seeing you there!

  • @BerlinPhil

    Touché :P

  • @BerlinPhil Are there some discounts for students?

  • I am dizzy watching her hands

  • I guess it was pretty good (especially the bassoons). For me, the first movement would be the turning point in any good performance.

Also, what happened to Radek Baborak? Why did he leave the orchestra?

  • i was quickly exhausted by that, imo

  • Was für eine wunderschöne Energie man da herausspürt. Wunderbar. Danke für das schöne Video. Und die Qualität ist sagenhaft.

  • Feels somewhat lacking in energy, IMO.
