uhm...just putting this out there but...you should never physically roll your dog over when teaching them this trick...9 times out of 10 they will become dependent on you rolling them over...also rolling over is not enjoyable for some dogs and they can lash out at you for attempting to roll them over when they are not well and ready enough on their own to roll over

Don't push your dog like that. More often than not you will just scare your dog, setting yourself back. A much better approach is to use the treat to coax the dog to do what you want. Don't be forceful. This video demonstrates the impatient, lazy way to teach a dog to roll over. There are much better videos on Youtube for this trick.

Never force a dog into a position. Always adjust your technique to get the dog to do it themselves.

For the roll-over, bring the treat towards their shoulder, then over their back. Their head will follow the treat and the dog will roll over of their own accord. If this doesn't work, keep at it until the dog does it themselves. Never, ever force the dog to perform the trick for you.
