My family is mixed on all four bloodlines (heavily on three) and alot of people in my family range in complexions with some being lighter and "more mixed looking" than the two at 2:13 who claim that black people didn't like them for being "light and pretty". Black people except my family and I just fine. I know that every experience is different but that sounds like BS to me.

Tina and Joey raise salient points that I have heard from other here on you tube and in the course of my informal research: that a number of black people have a great deal of resentment and dislike about bi-racials.

Being Black/White Bi-racial, I was never raised with either whites or blacks so I never ran across those attitudes growing up.

However, it is interesting and sad to hear these experiences of others.

Yes, unfortunately that is true for most us for the most part. I had a hard teen life. (For some strange reason I had the mistreatment from the Blacks)I guess The way I talked, dressed (hard-rock shirts), or acted . I obviously outgrew it as I got older. It only made me stronger. I like the content of the trailer and how the text pages were interspersed between the video. There are two things that I think should be fixed - that is the spelling errors (e.g. Japaneese) and I don't think the trailer says what the documentary will be about (e.g. is it just about being mixed in general or something more specific?).Is the documentary done yet? As a white person it makes me feel bad that white people have traditionally made black people feel like they are ugly. I think black people are beautiful. The traits of beauty may differ from race to race, because we are different. But beauty exists in all races. The only reason I'm saying this is because there were comments about prejudices from black folks towards biracial people like they're "trying to be better" and I think it's rooted in that "white=good black=bad" poison we were taught.

If someone takes you to be a member of a certain race, regardless that you're just a part of that race, why is that a bad thing? If that is a an issue then you're obviously not glad to be labeled a member of that race, which makes you tragic.
