i had the WB600 and it was AMAZING for not photography pictures but good quality pictures and one day the lens didnt come out (was bought in russia maybe thats why :P) and i got a call today saying it was dead and nothing could be done about it and then i found this camera and im drooling all over it :o its amazing! hopefully i will be able to buy it! Thank you for a great video!
Is this camera better than the Samsung PL211, I just bought a 211, and I don't think the 720P video is any good, to be hones I regret bying my PL211, because it records so badly
The pic's @ 14 Mega pixels is good but it isn't doesn't record video @ 1080p. and therefore i would rate this camera lower than Panasonic LUMIX DMC-TZ20
hi i bought this camera a few days ago its very very good, but i can't find a timer on it? because i want to have a 10 secon timer so i can take a photo from a distance, can anyone help?
Hi, Bought one of these camera's today as a Christmas present and was just wondering how do you record video's for longer as at the moment it only records around 20 seconds, please reply as soon as possible, thanks!
@hayleymakeupx I guess it records up to 20 mins of video. If the battery is fully charged, you could make the video longer. You need to connect each of the video cut. Thanks. :)
I got it today. The zoom is really impressive! Although I still prefer the design of my cute little Canon IXUS 95 IS - I have to admit that the handling of the Samsung is much easier. I didn't have to search at all. And the explanations on the screen are very helpful too. Last but not least: the connection to my Macbook works very fine too. I performed a first test - it's getting dark outside and I read in a review that this camera wasn't so good in the dark. Well, my vid. is perfect.
Am interested in knowing how long it takes to take a picture as I have two toddlers who move very quickly! I have an old Kodak DX7630 which I replaced with a Kodak V1273, but found it was slower to take a picture so went back to the old camera. A relative has had two newer panasonics that seem to take forever to take a picture such that the kids have left the room by the time it fires. How quick are the WB600/690/700's? Thanks
On the Samsung HZ35/30, TL34HD and others there was a "Photo Style Selector" which applied to Auto and most of the other modes. It seems to be missing in the WB 700. Is this feature coming in a firmware update or just completely missing?
You could select Normal, sketch, Vivid, soft, forest etc. I do not see a "vivid" option or photo style selector that works like this on the 700...so if you like that feature, it seems to be missing. ;-)
@christianfriley Hi,christianfriley! Thank for your feedback! WB700 is not support the photo styler selector but classic, retro, negative effects are still available in Smart Filter. I am not sure the firmware of it. But i will inform you of the update if i have news. Thanks.
Just doing my research before buying my next compact zoom. This is a great review. A bit soon since its release to hear about major cons I suppose. I'm a boofheaded bloke but wont hesitate to admit that this guy is very smooth. He should be on tv hosting an antiques show.
