there is always an amount of orange peel,you can not get a 100% flat finish out of the gun.if you want a glass-looking clear you just have to color sand and buff
hi adi! thanks for taking the time to reply to my comment. i'm an enthusiastic amateur in the paint and body world and i'm very happy with what i've accomplished so far. your work as well as ed's are great examples for me. i've been using the sata 3000 hvlp for base coat and the iwata lph 400 1.4 for the clear coat but the iwata leaves very thin coats. if i were to color sand it i fear that i will damage the base coat. what do you recommend?
how many coats of clear do you spray? if you spray 3 coats you shouldn't worry about.try to wet sand it 1500 then 2000 grit paper then polish it if you think it is to thin.I have never used an iwata so I have no idea how it sprays,I use for clear a Sata 3000RP and spray a HS clear from u-pol in 2 wet(full) coats
LOL! I am very impressed with the results of your paint jobs. I think the experience makes the difference. When I apply the clear coat I start with a tack coat and then 2 wet coats but next time i'm going to try your recommendation.
my project turn out good for painting a car for 2nd time,ahhahahahh,thanks all for your advise.i took some video and i will show it to you maybe in 2 days and the software to put word is call adobe premium element 7.if you want the software then i can show you how to get it for free without paying 120 bucks.btw,the damn mosquito got on my base coat and it pissed me off,lol.

the best way is to follow the manufacturer recommendations ,in my case it happens to be 2 full coats.

no,what I have done I blended the color ((just covered the dent repairs with the actual paint and then cleared the hole thing

Did you mask again before spraying the clear? I see fresh tape. What are the benefits of doing this?
