  • pelosi, brown, and boxer's reelections are among the many reasons why ca is the laughingstock of the country. the ca constituency is beyond dumb. i'd be laughing too, if i didn't live in this nuthouse.

  • @sharpasaneraser blah blah blah. CA is far from a laughing stock. Our state can't help that deregulation policies, tax cuts to the wealthy, and other similar views supported by the party OPPOSITE of those politicians you listed fucked us up.

  • @cajayson8301 you are in a colossal state of denial if you think ca is well regarded.

the only reason we aren't losing population is solely due to illegal immigration. don't blame all of our problems on washington, d.c. and 49 other states. we (sacramento) did this to ourselves via a long entrenched welfare state mentality. chickens are coming home to roost after all these decades of social and fiscal decadence. ..and jerry brown is the answer! we are FUCKED. why did you vote for the dems?

  • Wow...not hard to see why Californians didn't elect Meg. She had nothing but cliches and talking points. Brown comes across as much more sincere, and with a much broader set of ideas.

  • @contrarian23 NutMeg changed her position on nearly EVERY issue hoping nobody would take notice. She thought wrong.

  • JERRY BROWN WINS BITCH!!!!!!!

  • She uses so many Idioms, metaphors, and similes its not even funny!

  • Meg Whitman keeps on saying "Lets get Californians back to work" so many times.

  • I think Meg Whitman did a better job at this, tho she isn't experience like Brown with camera. therefor she didn't seem so comfortable, but unlike Brown she gave great ideas of solutions. Also she's a supporter of small business not major big business, the whole cut red tape for start up on business is to small business, like ur mom & pop restaurant. these are what hires local ppl & keep manufacturers so we can have jobs. her ideas will hlp prevent our jobs from getting outsource elsewhere

  • 9/11 was an inside job

  • jerry brown has screw up before, but he has more experience he can problaly fix this problem in california. WHITMAN has a noble intention but i dont know if she could handle this huge problem.

  • HAHAHAHAHA @ 10:52 he said "long and hard"

    *Peters laugh*

  • yap./.i disagree

    megg rox

  • Let us GET on board with being UNITED. ... "Land of the Free; Not Free Land" I say.

the less people we have , *the less people we have to take care of. There IS and exam ! ..... as one intellegent individual would say... PEACE AND RESPECT

  • She is also backed by Clinton...!!! What happened to the day when we were all joking with chris rock about how much we wanted him back in office ! And this Female has money. I guess WE are Not agreeing with our laughter now huh!! Brown is a Polititon... he Will know how to think ahead of his sentence to get a rise out of someone.... read "24 Laws of Power". How to be the perfect courtier.

He has the right ideas for the Judicial System, again, that is his job. Back to immigration ......

  • sufferable to sit in a 6x8 or whatever the measure meant is. Did anyone Ever think of that?... Immigration should be concentrated on All races. However Temporary employment for field cropping is Slavery that only out sources our money to the immigrant's respective country. Water renewal... means new engineers; coming from a better education; a better education derives from adiquate attention from teachers. More teachers more jobs, smarter people! It Starts At the Base ! Did anyone catch that ?.

  • Whitman sounds rehearsed ONLY because her job is Not in front of the camera! try it one day as a beauty queen you will know what I mean. Brown has 'camera time' he is used to it. That is all Basic speech capability. She is nervous. He is comfortable. Have you ever had a business class? thats just business 101. She OWNS one. As an accounting major I can vouche that it is all about knowing how to move numbers. Numbers are not scary people. However on the death penalty, it is much more...

  • What's wrong with labor unions? I hate how republicans try to convince people that unions are bad. Unions helped every single working American by giving everyone safety at work, paid holidays, and fair wages. If you're anti-union you should give up all your benefits and 75% of your pay.

  • MEG WON HANDS DOWN..SHE SHOULD WIN AND LETS HOPE FOR THE BEST

  • @bakersfieldmusicnow She barely answered the questions -.-

  • @bakersfieldmusicnow And she definitely lost this debate -.-

  • Can we ask the big questions please? Oh well, too late.

  • there is no need to curse or have a condescending attitude. You can help more by giving a constructive critic and pointing out the pros and cons of both candidates.

  • Brown's powerful closing statement lies within 5:18 - 5:48 when he totally crushes Whitman in less than 45 seconds..

  • we need to use technology we need to use technology we need to use technology SHUT UP we get it you were CEO of eBay, but you didn't do anything with computers you just sat around giving orders. you don't know anything about computers you just bought eBay, told them to add pretty colors, and let the money roll on in.

  • Don't Do it He had his chance we need term limits for all. No carrier politicians

  • @tdsguns What the fuck is a carrier politician? What do they carry for the most part of their careers?

  • @megafaded69 career politician...

  • @giant24us I knew that, I was making fun of a fathead GOP follower.

  • Thanks for the provider of this video...it is great when someone takes the time to share such an important video as these are. David

  • Why is it that whenever someone disagrees with a Republican, they have to be drinking some form of Koo-aid! How about they don't agree with you end of discussion! Are you drinking kool-aid when you agree with the right!

  • Whitman and her fake smile is so classic!

  • If this woman truly wanted to help this state, I suggest she "spend money differently" as she herself says. She could have donated $100,000,000.00, or however much of her personal money she has spent on this campaign, on education, or environment, or something POSITIVE. She wants to buy the election rather than spend her money in USEFUL ways.

  • @lambyiii You fail to realize that the money she spent on her campaign did go to help the economy because she was in essence buying a product. The money she spent went into economy and into businesses. These businesses will pay takes on some of the money while the rest will go to retain employees, hire new ones, ect.

  • @rocke4444 You fail to realize that running for public office is not "buying a product". She isn't supporting business, she's selfishly supporting herself. This woman hasn't voted in over 20 years and she all of a sudden she's on a ballot for governor. I just find it offensive that she can throw around so much money and basically flaunt it in everyone's face when SOO many people are without work and money themselves.

  • @lambyiii When she spends large amounts of money on advertisements she is supporting businesses because businesses are getting money. I don't know you can deny this.

  • @lambyiii So trying to help California is not something positive? At least she made the money herself.

  • @1voceunica She is not trying to help CA! She is trying to help her self and her friends by reducing their taxes and having those of us who are not multi-millionaires foot the bill. Also, she was born rich! It is not like she came up from the bottom or even from the middle class and through her own genieous and hard work made her money. She is just a typical republican, cut taxes for the rich and let those in the middle class and the poor fight over the scaps.

  • Witless wants agriculture business to thrive despite lack of water. How about a lack of workers when she kicks them all out?

  • @lambyiii

actually she suggest a temporary guess worker program to help with agriculture

  • @phantasyboi07 yes, and after she's done exploiting their work, she's going to kick them all back to their home countries. Come to California from Mexico, or even South America! and then after you're done, go back home. As if they could afford such travel.

  • "Im a big believer in the power of many. Fuck unions."

    Yup, consistency at its best!

  • I didn't expect to be impressed w/Brown but I was. I expected to be nauseated by whitman & I was.

Whomever wins, at least we'll finally be through w/idiot arnie. No more friggin hollywood airheads, CA.

    Oh, & YES on 19.

    Thanks for posting.

  • Meg answers with confidence while Jerry brown trys to make jokes when he speaks to break ice with the crowd Jerry Brown is going make things only worse rather than fix California

  • @therealsteve2437 Yeah, but if all people R generally watching R their fricking TVs, then he's got a lot more "PRACTICAL APPEAL." As long as there's a song&dance, a slick delivery, that's good enough for way too many. Californians, do your HW. Stop pointing fingers @someone who doesn't say what U want 2hear with a few well placed catch phrases! &U criticize the politicians for being yes-men!? & then throw UR hands in the air when we've elected "corrupt politicians?" We get what we deserve.

  • Labor unions created a middle class in America! Working class parents were able to send their kids to college because they were able to earn a decent wage thanks to union solidarity. Billionaires so hate having to pay those who make them wealthy!

  • whitman's supporting the water bong. excellent job.

well brown does look like a good salesman and bullshitter,

whitman doesn't looked prepared. our state is fucked either way.

  • 4:19

Meg Whitman knows something about business cutting back. How do you think she got to be so rich? She slashed jobs at ebay and sent them overseas to India. And she and her cronies in the upper management at ebay rewarded themselves with huge bonuses. She ran ebay into the ground. It used to be a great place until that greedy bitch got ahold of it.

  • Lol i guess Meg whitman's trying to solve the unemployment crisis by spending $119 million in her campaign to put people to work. Silly CEOs, quit lying.

  • Jerry is a professional politican, that's for sure. Ick.

  • @KennedyFever101 yes better not pick the person with experience. let's go with a rich woman who never votes and doesn't know anything about government and can't debate properly or give any details or explanations of her plans simply talking points, simply because he's old and has done this job before, and she is a new face who tells you what you want to hear, even though it's lies.

  • This debate helped me pick who I'm going to vote for & thats for Meg Whitman. To the people that think Brown totally won need to stop drinking the Democrats Koolaid. Brown in this debate has showed multiple times lack of knowledge in several departments & if you looked at his record in governor & mayor you would know he is not the right chose. All the comments toward Meg on here have been of her appearance & biased reasons. Stop being a dumb follower. Pray to god these people are not from CA

  • @ConanKud0 :

Brown's experience is priceless, and he's right that you can't participate in government, much less RUN government, like a corporation, where the bottom line is god. He has been mayor of two major cities in California; he's been governor BEFORE; and he's been attorney general. Has he also been an assemblyman? I don't know. I'll take his obvious savvy, insider knowledge, and ability to think on his feet over her sloganeering and script.

State of CA is more complex than Ebay.

  • @ShunyamNiketana

i know big business like corporations are so...easy to run, that's why some many fail right?

cali is complex but the prob is the financial issue, i believe her solutions are for the best, since its to support small business & hold business from moving else where, so we can keep & make jobs. stop the hating on business, without it we won't have jobs

  • @phantasyboi07

Well, the voters have spoken at this point, right? But I do agree about the importance of protecting SMALL businesses. They need those loans to pay expenses and salaries while they wait for revenues to arrive. And they need them for R & D.

    Take care.

  • ( jerry is!!!!!!

  • California have to be dumb if they let Whitman wins....she is a friggin joke.....

  • Agnostic, thanks for posting. I missed the debates. I wasn't 100% sure who I was going to vote for, but now my mind is made up. The first time I was able to vote for Gov. it was for Jerry Brown. I've come full circle and will be casting my vote for him once again. Meg can't buy my vote!

  • thank you for posting agnostic !

  • Jerry Brown cares more about the people, like the good work he did in the hard city of Oakland, and not for billionaires and millionaires

  • Jerry Brown cares more for the people, like his good work in the hard city of oakland, and not for billionaires and millionaires

  • California needs some one who knows how and with integrity. Jerry is a man with value. Meg is a fake business woman. She knows how to make money for herself but nothing about public service, which has shown in this debate as well as her advertisement.

  • She sounds so fake.

  • No bonds for water, pay as you go. Apartments should have individual metering so people have an incentive to conserve. Make farmers pay the same price for water as residential users. Make sure that farming is done with legal labor. If we do these things, we'll have enough water.

  • @GaryVolts

in terms of service and infrastructure i don't think farming has the same costs as residential, so why should they pay the same water rate? not that i am against that idea in principle, i am just for fairness. plus the cots of food would go up if water went us steeply, but you're right the incentive would be to conserve, but i am sure it is now as well. it is residential that does not conserve very much.

  • @justgivemethetruth I agree that the pricing should reflect the servicing the customer, but what we have in california is pricing set by political clout and to a lesser degree a value judgement that one use is fundamentally better than another irrespective of what the market mechanisms say. Yes the cost of food would go up to some degree, and this would be appropriate. It would go up most in crops that are most water intensive, and this would help serve to streamline crop choice.

  • @GaryVolts

Pragmatically I think that one use, ie agriculture is better in a number of ways that individual use, in the sense that I would rather seem crops grown that we can eat than someone be able to take hour long showers or have a huge lawn. How to fullfill that by pricing policy is going generates complaints and unfairnesses whatever you do. I don't think consumers pay too much for water or agriculture pays too little. To me food costs are most important., but farmers need to conserve2

  • @justgivemethetruth

the bottom line is that i am against the peripheral canal, or sending too much water south to LA. The sacramento river and the sf bay need way to maintain the environment and the sfbay should not be allowed to dry up.

  • @justgivemethetruth I think that some uses are better than others, but I don't presume to overstep the pricing system we rely on in the country to allocate resources. Who's to say that the green lawn of a guy that makes computer chips in Silicon Valley is more or less important than growning rice in the arid southwest. Only the market can make those decisions fairly. If the cost of growing rice went up we might chose to import it from SE asia instead. Who knows.

  • My question is why Whitman is running for Governor anyways? A person who was not interested in politics and has never voted in her life, is now spending 100s of millions of dollars out of her pocket to become the Governor?! What are her true intentions?

  • @kianash Charity?

  • Whitman's answers sounded SO rehearsed.... And she kept throwing out those slogans. Jerry Brown is at least qualified for the job.

The panel need to ask better questions.

  • whitman's supporting the water bong. excellent job.

well brown does look like a good salesman and bullshitter,

whitman doesn't looked prepared. our state is fucked either way.

  • Whitman is a Tea Bag Neo Con who just said at (8:13) that, in her REAL WORLD, it's ok to add special interests PORK, and pad a bill, to get a bill passed. That's their REAL WORLD kiddies. Tell people you hate something (special interest), but then support it by passing a pork ladden bill .... CMON MEG they're not as stupid as they used to be. Or maybe they are?

  • Brown is CA political royalty in CA. Whitman is an unknown.

  • @jvarela965 Is that good or bad?

  • where's part 3???

  • @HappyRogueStatus

    youtube.com/watch?v=1oGNUHYRYsQ

  • Funny comment though ... I'd like to see Meg Whitman lose weight and get in shape like Jerry Brown did in the last years. That shows willpower and determination.

Whitman looks like a wicked old grandmother. I have no idea what is in her mind, I don't trust her. She probably thought if Schwarzenegger can do it, she could too.

Whitman - do something - anything - prove to us that you can really do something, we all know CEOs are just overpaid figureheads, not technical, not leaders.

  • @justgivemethetruth where you listening to the same debate. She sounds like she know what she is talking about and knows how to make things work well. Jerry Brown failed in the 70's and 80's and you want this political hack back. Nice to know the only way you can attack Meg is how she looks.

  • @stefanabba Nice to know that you're lazy enough to echo everything Meg Whitman says without doing any research yourself.

  • @justgivemethetruth Wow...you are a fool. You say CEOs are not leaders?

  • I have not seen Jerry Brown so fired up for a long time.

I'd be happier to see Whitman serve the public in ANY capacity to prove herself, rather than just ask to be governor ... that is not right ... I've had it with "trust me".

Brown has well thought out clear common sense answers.

Whitman is not spending 130 million for nothing, she is there for a reason, and I want to know what it is before I would ever consider voting for her. I'd love to see more tech in government, so Meg, do it now.

  • @justgivemethetruth I'd like to see Brown prove himselve in the private sector before he trys again to run the state.

Witman's secret goal is similar to Ahnold, just to have a chance to turn this train wreck around- call it charity.

  • I like Meg Whitman, but she got destroyed by Mr. Brown. He got my vote!

  • @JorgePrima Yours and millions of others named Jorge, illegal ones too!

  • Comment removed

  • @Iztacoyotl217 You want racism in your own language? Here it is! You fucken chilli picken spick go to back to your fucken shit hole! Haul your fucken illegal ass outta here! You know why you're brown? Shit is brown! Get it!?

  • Comment removed

  • @Iztacoyotl217 um i hope youre not a democrat, because youre embarassing.

  • @infinera06 i didnt like lzta... but youre even more embarassing, im going back to BROWN because of you.

  • @Iztacoyotl217

lol thats funny shit...the native americans were here 1st then kill by the mexicans from that came from the south

  • @phantasyboi07 Dam bruh you sound pretty dumb the natives where not killed by mexicans they where killed by Europeans when they broke the treaty of Guadalupe Hidalgo between the Native Americans/Mexicans and the Colonist (they just wanted more land)and Mexicans are pretty much native americans the name given to present day Mexicans back then was Mestizo which meant mixed... Which consisted of Native Americans and Spaniards/other Europeans

  • @JorgePrima You must have been watching a different debate than I was.

  • I like Jerry Brown but his criticism of the private sector is a bit scary. He keeps saying that Whitman is supporting millionaires and billionaires when in fact she wants targeted tax cuts to abate the businesses and manufacturing that CA is hemorrhaging daily. Brown can certainly testify on behalf of the difficulty of being governor, but I find his claim that it is so much harder than working as a private sector CEO juvenile. The private sector, unlike government, must stay in the black.

  • What is scary is the potential oligarchy this country has become and this state is on a path to becoming. I disagree with your assessment that the government doesn't carry the onus of staying in the black. The private sector is only beholden to shareholders or other profiteers. The first casualty on the path to black is the employee and / or the benefits that employee receives. The government doesn't have the luxury to shirk the everyman without the consequence of being unseated.

  • @coconnel51 The shareholders are the people too. If you shirk responsibility to an employee they leave for your competitor. Companies shouldn't be buying benefits for their employees anyway, they aren't children. Just give them the money and let them decide what is important for themselves.

  • @dsfdhadfhawetag

Being the CEO is much easier than being the governor of California. A CEO and it's board of directors is as close to a dictatorship as it gets. Changes can be made with no real opposition. The governor must deal with all the political opponents, unions, and a multitude of well financed special interest groups. Ask our current governor how easy it is, and he was a very successful businessman.

  • @DungBeetle24 And which companies have you been CEO?

  • @DungBeetle24 He was more of an actor than business tycoon. We need someone that can make the hard choice to get rid of people we can't afford.
