@cris07skate it's not called counter-clockwise or clockwise (which would be more practical on tricks that aren't grind related because of predicaments like this). they're back and frontside. why would you think they have those names applied? although he would be turning frontside if he weren't fakie, it is because he's popping on the inverse side (the nose of the board(it happens in nollie as well)).his back is essentially what is showing upon his turn. nollie&fakie are similar in this fashion.
