Well like Ahmad said, I think what the public was staggered about, was the amount....500,000 dollars, that's alot of money. Maybe not to someone like Michael Jordan, but to basically everyone else...that's alot of money to be losing just on some bet. I mean theres alot of people out there with little food, they're struggling, they're living day by day...so for Michael to say, well it's no big deal to lose 500,000 dollars on a golf bet, really shows a huge disconnect from regular people.
EVEN THOUGH JORDAN IS THE MOST OVERRATED ATHLETE IN SPORTS HISTORY...JORDAN GAMBLING IS NOBODY'S DAMN BUSINESS...WHAT THIS DUDE DOES WITH HIS MONEY IS HIS DAMN BUSINESS...JORDAN OWES NOBODY AN EXPLANATION ON WHAT THE PHUCK HE DOES WITH HIS OWN DAMN MONEY...THE CONVERSATION SHOULD BE KEPT STRICTLY ON WHAT HAPPENS ON THE COURT...AHMAD SHOULD'VE BEEN ASKING JORDAN ABOUT ALL THOSE SCRUBS AND DWARFS HE MATCHED UP WITH ALA JOHN STARKS AND CRAIG EHLO...HA HA HA
@bumperboy2sports You def entitled to your own opinion about Jordan being overrated. I'm just curious if you're from how old you are & what city your from to think Jordan was overrated...thanks
@bumperboy2sports You will not find many people, other than maybe Kobe fans, who will agree with you. Jordan is with out a doubt one of the most talented athletes the US has and possibly will ever see. But I agree with keep outta people's personal business keep it to the job of the person. Cheers!
I recall this interview it's a joke that the media reported this....he could lose $25,000 a month or even more and it wouldn't hurt him at all.....no other player has come close to his greatness.... he's the best and scottie was the best all-around...player kobe's rape case was much worse than this.......
Agreed, the burnout was evident, he knew he was going to walk away from the game. However when he did walk away the reasons why he left are the same reasons that he states in this interview. So, Michael stayed true to his word and he did everything on HIS terms. As far as the gambling if it were too out of hand he would've been broke by 1993. But it's clear that in 2011 he's far from it.
@TrueHeroUnderGod89 that's why JORDAN ripped off that 54 point game (all jumpers) against the new york knicks during game 4 of the ecf's.....as you say, this wasn't even an issue, they couldn't criticize his game that's for sure
Good interview, did he have a gambling problem I don't think so. Like Phil Jackson said during the Knicks series that "He enjoys competition so much that he's will to put a wager on it"
i think he did lost a lot of money a lot more than he sais byt who cares hes got tons on money to burn i wich way he wishes and also it was good that he didnt develop a gambling problem

Jordan must have been drinking heavily or smoking some sticky icky before this interview was taken. Bloodshot eyes are not a pretty thing.

This was an issue blown out of proportion. It's just work of the media.

Jordan comes off really sinister in this interview. And he didn't have a gambling problem? Please.
