  • I Tryed Installing Windows Hoem Server And In The Middle Of The Installation It Said "Error Yoou Need More Drives" And It Is Saying Please Pick The Right .ind File

  • 42 minutes? I'm sorry but that can't be right. I've installed Windows server 2008 R2 in under 15 minutes.

  • @SOF006 WHS downloads, grabs, and installs nearly every possible update for Windows SBS 2003 and installs it in the background since it is based on that framework. The installer was never designed for consumer use and was built with convenience for system builders in mind. With that said, the process you will notice occurring in this video of Windows Updates simply popping into the foreground is the result of the system rebooting and installing updates numerous times.

  • 13:48 LOL he said 512 Gigabytes of RAM how the hell are you supposed to put 512 GB of ram in a computer lol

  • @MadGuy7023 This is a blurb. Thank you.

  • @MadGuy7023 Laugh now, but in a few years 512Gb RAM will be the standard config on economy PC's

  • @rickcain2320 And a few years after that there will be 1 TB LOL

  • @MadGuy7023 Your an idiot. Dell PowerEdge R910 - Memory -Up to 2TB (64 DIMM slots): 2GB/4GB/8GB/16GB/32GB DDR3 up to 1066MHz

  • You know!, Is Windows Home Server based on Windows Vista Bissuness and Windows Fundamentals for Legacy PCs and Windows XP Professional and Embedded?

  • @marcusmiller97 yes they will be formated...so you better back up everything within those drive to some usb drive

  • sht, i just waste my 15 min, its not tutorial, its about you complaining about how long it will takes to install!!! this is not a tutorial!!

  • can i create a Domain with Windows Home Server, or would i need to go with the small buisness edition?

  • @PCTips1234 if you want a Domain you need a Domain Controller too.. So for your server you need either Standard,Enterprice or Data Edition!

  • @PCTips1234 For a domain you generally want SBS. WHS does not have domain controller functionality and instead uses connection software for each home computer to communicate with the server. The idea here is that Windows domain networks require enterprise-level management and configuration which would not be affordable or appropriate for home use.

  • hey what computer where you running anyway? (spec would be nice)

  • @Combineartist This was a custom i7 with 4GB of DDR3 and 6x RAID-0 SSDs.

  • Thanks for posting this video but seriously how many times must you mention how long the install is...after 2 or 3 times I got the point.

  • @serialkissersband its is built off of the Windows Server 2003 platform.

  • OK, just a little confusion, I believe that WHS actually can have up to 10 different clients in its network, whether that be computers, media devices, etc. I believe 5 is incorrect, but just want to confirm.

  • How can you get an evaluation version? Thanks :)

  • @devan12100 Evaluation copies are available on Microsoft TechNet in accordance with their licensing. OEM system builders may also have access.
