Good instant recovery! Your launch looked good to me. I had to really look to see your tip down just a fraction. Gosh, that could have been me easily. Don't think I'm (really) a h4 anymore. Although I think part of being an aging h4 is knowing your limitations (me, not you). Been flying Mt.Diablo lately?
Scary, scary. You suggest as well a pretty unconventional cross wind take off that I suppose those Funston pilots have worked out over thru a lot of trial and error. Good thing error wasn't any worse than a few extra heart beats.

I should have started at the cliff edge (with a wire crew) and had that right tip up when I left the cliff, not a few steps back like I did...
