  • is a very good desing very well made, what kind of engine used and how it generates watts.

Thanks and I hope your comment.

  • Nice idea for diy. I like the idea of the belt but does it give you full potental of revolutions or does it reduce speed?

  • Hi Goesakk hows it goin? great work man that vawt rox, hows the power output/speed?i see it is geared. You use a windblue alternator?if not let me know what you used please there like $250+,don't get me wrong windblue is one of the best alt out there but i wanna build 2 or 3 wind turbines to get off grid you think it can be done?Gearing=mech advantage=good idea but causes some lag.If you or anyone has any idea about how long it takes to charge a battery bank let me know thanks guys. "THECHAMP"

  • Dear geosakk!

I would like to know the speed of wind!

    Regards,

    Hanzy

  • Thats really cool. I'm planning a future build for a similar one of these myself. Are you from the southern hemisphere? Or are u a lefty? lol j/k... with the clockwise rotation and all.

It appears you have many fins. It moves to quickly in this vid to count. Have you experimented with a different number of them to see a difference in rpm or torque or overall power generation?

    Nice video

  • Thanks for the comment.

Up Down Right Left Clock or Anticlockwise??????

    I am from Greece.

The turbine that you see has 6 blades and turns at about 200rpm(on load). I tried many options with 2,3,12 blades but this one gives the best output. Now I "play" with the angle and length of the blades.

  • σωστοοοοοος...

  • Are those blades hard mounted or do they pivot?

  • They are very hard mounted...

  • Good work. Nice to see it hooked to a generator. Does it have a hole on the top, and if so, can you tell me the diameter?

  • Thanks for the comment. The answer is that there is no hole on the top. If you watch the video again you will see that there is a hole in the middle part that holds the blades.

The overall dimensions of turbine runner is diameter:52cm , height:90cm

Be patient in the next days I am going to upload a new video with electrical measurements...
