It must be really awkward to be stuck singing in that character voice - the vocal "currrrrrllllll."
Because now, 10 years later, and with his voice obviously in a different place then it was back in the early 2000s, I'd bet it would be a lot less ridiculous and lame sounding if he would sing naturally - without the self-imposed vocal affect.
It really doesn't matter how Scott sings at present days. He's a awesome frontman. He 's always able to ipnotose the audience like few guys in music biz. Anyway he's still one of the best

@signsix That happens with a lot of singers by the time they get around to 10,000th time performing a song. It's rarely gonna sound like when it was a fresh song.
@Endisnigh666 I understand that and dont get me wrong Im an enormous fan of creed and probably always will be but there is definitely a huge difference in the vocals for sure. This is evident in all of their songs, even the newer ones. Hes just not a growly as he once was.
Age has ruined his voice. Unfortunately, the aging process doesn't care how successful you are or how many people worship you because you have a platinum selling band. I never thought they were a spectacular band to begin with. But his range is gone. He is exceptionally arrogant. Perhaps it will humble him. Creed is proof that popular sure don't mean right.
damn... still got lots of respect for Stapp, but I really hope he gets his voice back next time Creed goes on tour... he don't sound too great here... still an awesome vocalist and lyricist no matter how you look at it though...
Scott Stapp was operated from a TUMOR on his vocal cords now HE IS BACK, I went YESTERDAY to West Palm's Beach Ampitheatre to see Creed live and HE IS DEFINITELY BACK. The Scott from Weathered, either way hes amazing as well as the whole band. I had an amazing time, I recorded some vids and pictures and I know what i'm saying, they put on an amazing show. So for all the Creed/Stapp haters: SLEEP ON THIS FACT: Platinum band! Guiness World Records band and a DIFFERENT/POWERFUL lyrical band. PERIOD
I wish people Would Stop Hatin This Band If you dont Like Them Stop Watchin There Videos. He Did Have a Problem But Atleast He Was Man Enough To Deal With It He's Back Doing What He Loves And He is Still Loved And So Is The Band.
