Actually RA3 spies are useful if you have the money. Nothing stalls the enemy than using their "buyout" right before an armored columb tries to squash him.

Uh. They don't give 8 new units, as much as slightly upgraded OLD units. The only new units are the chronoivans/seals/tanyas/whate­ver.

And really, I'd preffer stealing a bunch of apoc tanks than getting a unit that is only useful at times.
