I've been abroad for a few months now, and I've heard a lot of discriminatory jokes about Romanians; and I'm sure you know Romanians' status in Europe, the Gypsy stories, and so on. BUT that's a different topic. Yea, and about the people commenting "Jos americanii!!!"; most of these trolls are probably drooling over their keyboards right now so there's nothing to worry about. People are stupid, get over it :) Chill, Romanians don't hate Americans yet!
I was in the Pizza Hut here in Bucharest with my wife once, and we helped an older Austrian man order. When he asked where we were from and I said I was American, he looked at me and said, "I've never liked Americans." Not to generalize, that was just one guy, but I can say no Romanian has ever said anything like that to me!

Mostly. He felt lonely and helpless, so when a smart Romanian women who also happened to be a lawyer came along he jumped in the bandwagon really quick! They got married ! Si ea l-a curatat exact cum cureti un morcov! L-a lasat in pielea goala si a divortat! Now he's homeless!
@llVIU Yeah, I guess it would take some getting used to. I'm quite used to hearing foreigners in my country trying to speak English in all kinds of ways, but there are so few people who have any desire to speak Romanian, so you probably don't hear it much. I would think those who make the effort should be respected for it, but I guess if I were less experienced dealing with foreigners I'd laugh at them too.
I never knew anything about this, given the fact that I havent been to Romania in 3 years or so. But good point. And you speak Romanian extremely well.
Felicitari de videoclip... foarte buna ideea si initiativa. Sper sa intelegem ca guvernul roman alaturi de cel american sunt inamici ai nostrii... nu americanii de rand care isi vad de viata. Am uitat sa precizez corporatile capitaliste care influenteaza decizile din parlament si care creaza tensiuni si mai apoi conflicte intre natiuni...
Pai , ma bucur sa vad ca si altii realizeaza faptul ca dupa " cucerirea estului " Imperiul AUSTRIAC destramat de Napoleon III si de Bismarck este refacut bancar , energetic , economic et c. pana in locul de origine al OSTROGOTILOR ( gotii de est ) . Despre KANDIA ce sa spunem ? A ramas o cladire in ruine , specialistii descalificati ... Si totusi , ce Casuta Postala produce produlele Kandia ?
E pacat ca un american se "auto-sesizeaza" in locul nostru. Oricum nu cred ca mai bag in gura ceva de la Kandia :). Cat despre austrieci si unguri sa-i ia naiba ca au cumparat jumatate de Romania.
frate,o fi fost USA, imperiul secolului xx, insa le trece vremea ca la salata...si ca la orice imperiu iar noi asa inapoiati cum suntem cred ca vom fi pe aici si peste 1000 ani...bravo pentru efortul de a invata romaneste si a incerca sa ne intelegi romanismul.. oricum eu dupa 6 ani de spania nu consider deloc international steagul american..

Prima parte a fost in engleza. A doua este in romaneste!
Ma scot din pepeni imigrantii din USA care pur si simplu refuza sa invete limba engleza! Si asta o spun din experienta personala!
Cunosc un roman care a sosit in America in 1975. S-a casatorit cu o
sirboaica din Banatul Sirbesc ( care era aici de 20 de ani si vorbea engleza
foarte bine- cu un pic de accent). Totodata ea vorbea si sirbeste si
romaneste! Asa ca el a decis ca a invata engleza este un efort inutil.
Pina cind a dat de dracu!

I am impressed! Your effort to learn the Romanian language is
commendable! When I arrived in the USA twenty years ago,
I did not speak any English at all ! My wife did but very little.
And my French was as much help “ ca o frectie la un picior de lemn”
It was very frustrating. But I kept watching TV and reading
Newspapers and asking my wife: What that means? How you say that?
But what frustrates me the most are people that SIMPLY REFUSE
TO LEARN THE LANGUAGE OF THEIR NEW HOME LAND!

vorbesti tare bine romana, in afara de accent nu iti prea poti da seama.
si te pricepi sa vorbesti in fata camerei; fara sa te balbai, fara sa faci "ăăăă..." sau "şi... ăăăă" sau sa uiti ideile pe care le spui, bravo :)
