Wow! Michael Lagmay was a really smart player! He owned Tune Topics and scored 3 in a row in Bid-A-Note. He totally deserved his spot in the Golden Medley.
Bid a note seemed anti-climactic but it was still very exciting. WHile things today are generic events; these players added their own flair and personality to things to give us entertainment. The bid a note was still great as a simple strategy came in to play and proved to be the big killer for the loser. The round is innovative and fresh; as a result anthing can happen. Now for the Golden Medley.
Sandy frank says he was unable to come to terms with Peter Marshall and Tom Kennedy. Tom could have hosted both NTT and BL at the same time.

Tom was hosting Body Lanuguage at the time and was also beginning to suffer from whatever health problem he has now. At leas I think so!

I wonder why Sandy Frank didn't approach Tom Kennedy and ask him if he wanted to rehost NTT.
