I had Ron Colby as my Observer for the College FLW at Roosevelt....he is a stand up character and very enthusiastic about teaching others fishing techniques. Ron, if you read this, I've made up my mind....I'm getting a Phoenix.
heres a tip that really works.throw a couple of pieces of bread a few feet from where you're bass fishing.a bluegill feeding frenzy should follow.cast a few feet from the bread and watch what happens.a minnow-type lure works best.they think its an injured bluegill and snatch it.i promise this works most of the time.my son was feeding ducks at the park, had my rod n the trunk,lo and behold,i caught 4 bass in about 15 minutes.been doing it ver since and haven't been disappointed yet.
@xraidedlok ithink it was just more giving it to people plain and simple, as aposed to jumpin aroud the boat and going nuts on how to show you to flip creaturebaits but what i have heard from most pros the shows are kinda what the dread most.
i wont put weight on it till she(the bobber that is) stops bobbing then u have to put weight on it but usually it will start bobbin again once a little weight has been applied if not, check your bate. U could purchase a batemastur(auto bate machine) its a pretty good investment for your pole. it should keep things bobbin like they should if not...try batin it with ur batemastur. cheers and good luck.
i have been fishing a couple years and im fifteen. been to tournments and have been to state. Cant stress this enough. for bass fishing you need to try different baits on different structures. this video is very good example use the creature bait and swithch the colors up or try different bait. just try different baits on different structures and you will be a lot more better catching that seven punder thansticking with your favorite baIt.
what kind of river is it? is it really muddy and kind of deep or shallow usually u got cats but if its clear and rocky u got trout but for a beginner i suggest a good sized lake and try ur skills on a pan fish they eat just about anything dig for some small worms they work alot better than those huge nightcrawlers
sound good .....i finaly catch fish lol using a fake black worm and using a live nightcrawlers it works heheh
and its the Fox river in illinois its clear and rocky in some places shalow in some places too and its roughh hardly where i live next to it no calm water. but sometimes i get a good chance to catch small passes:D
Great tip! I just heard from a pro a couple weeks ago that was stressing the importance of dragging craw-imitations along the bottom rather than using big hops off of the bottom. Good video, keep posting. Thanks!
i like to fish these baits, with a pearl white color, a jig and cast out far, then reel in slowly and constantly bounce it up and down on the retrieve. its a killer for pike!!!
great tip, creature baits are one of my all time favorite rubber baits to fish with and i used to use the lift/drop technique but this works alottttt better. thanks for the tips
