I paid 599 plus tax for this tv its amazing its 1080p had it for a year now still works amazing colors are way better then my relatives led tv I only use blu rays on it with a good sound system it'd amazing and for ps3 it worked very well too

@HansTVchannel Almost nothing is 1080. Blue ray and video games. No cable company sends 1080. Also 90% of people cant see the diff from 720 and 1080.. This tv is $529 at walmart right now/ If you need 1080 that bad pay an extra $1000

LG plasmas are not gonna be any good if you're planning on watching TV in a bright room, due to their ultra-glossy screens and poor anti-reflective properties... : P

Also, keep in mind that rechargeable 3D glasses are probably not gonna be nearly as good as the battery-operated ones in the long run; especially when they start failing or losing their ability to hold a good charge.

I would very strongly highly recommend either the Panasonics or Samsung's lineup of 3D plasmas over these LGs.

Nice set up but 1 Plasma's have begun to be made with far less power consumption not near as low as LED, 2 are far less hot than they use to be, 3. have a life span that is near to the span of an LED, 4 when an LED is toast it is done, and you buy a new one, If a plasma dies due to gas age, you can get it recharged. LED is great for sharp whites, Plasma is great for sharp Blacks Plasma has a better image for movies, and white wash

@kingjaekob The only way to get 1080p is thru blu-ray or video games. Nobody broadcasts in 1080p. Why pay extra for 1080p when you won't use it. PS Good luck telling the difference between the picture on a 1080i/720p vs 1080p.

Have you tried turning it on using the button on the TV as well as with the remote? This will help you identify if it's the on/off switch or just the remote. Beyond that, I'd suggest trying LG support.. I'll message you with their contact info.
